Really good reaction. Love hearing your thoughs and ramblings as much as your reaction itself haha. This show keeps getting better with each episode

Amazing episode. And this is one of my all time favorite reactions from you two. When the episode ends and Lola picks up that it’s ending like a split second before Milena. Classic stuff right there. And the whole scene in the Chinese food place. Just an amazing scene with you two adding amazing reactions and comedy. Great stuff all around. Cannot wait to watch episode 7 tonight.

They're different. Mark was assaulted by Helena through deception. Helly R/Mark S was explicitly consensual. Yes, the outie/innie part is a grey area because of the sci-fi concept (that's there for every intimate encounter in the show), but I think that's secondary to the main difference between those two scenes.

I think Josh B meant that Mark was raped. Considering he slept with Helena under false pretenses. He thought he was having sex with Helly R but it was Helena. But you’re right that everything they do now has dubious consent because they share bodies with other versions of themselves.

Great reaction as always! The electronic audio buzzing/feedback was pretty strong on this one. Hoping you can find a fix for that soon.

helly r didn’t consent when helena and mark had sex and helena didn’t consent when helly r and mark had sex. super super weird for both sides no matter how you look at it

I hope it's at least from Helly R and not Helena. I'd rather it not be from rape.

I think she’s definitely getting pregnant. There’s too much foreshadowing in S1 + baby imagery in S2. Also the place where her and Mark had sex is hinted to be some religious place for conception.

Is anyone else slightly scared Helena/Helly will get pregnant? Also the scene with milchick in the mirror was an amazing performance! I love that actor so much.

I always thought Mark's arc at the end of the show would involve him finally letting go of his wife. This show reiterates the idea that your memories are what define you, and without her old memories, Gemma is not and will never be the same woman he married. He also brought up the five stages of grief in this episode (bargaining), and the final stage is acceptance.
Then again, maybe I just want Mark and Helly to end up together, lol.

You are your brain. Your body is basically there to keep your brain running. Innies and outies are entirely their own individual people in my opinion. The awful part about this is that you have two individuals who have to share the same body. Your body should still belong to you. It's like owning a car, but every day some other person comes up and takes the keys to have a drive in it. It's absolutely violating. Helena used and abused both Mark S and Helly R
Also, Burt baaaaad. For sure. Just look at the flames behind him!

I always thought that Gemma was never truly alive, not in the way Mark wants, but after the opening scene of this episode i’m even MORE sure. From the beginning of the show we’ve seen that Mark has been stuck on the depression stage of grief, he has not reached acceptance, now he’s literally being dragged back to the bargaining stage. I just can’t see the show rewarding him and actually allowing him to bargain his way into bringing her back, especially when the means of getting her back are almost killing himself (and doing it without his innie’s consent or knowledge), which means she’s not alive. I think by episode 10 he’s gonna have to reach acceptance. Someone pointed out a moment in S1 where Gemma tells Innie Mark “i forgive you”, and i think that’ll have more meaning once we find out how she died + what their relationship was like, and maybe reintegrating and remembering that moment will help him.
As for Reghabi, i think she’s 100% being manipulative. I think she knows Gemma isn’t really in there, and her saying “the Gemma you knew is still in there” is her lying to him and manipulating him because she needs him to agree to doing this. I mean, he’s a vulnerable grieving man, and she’s dangling the idea that his wife is alive in his face so he can do a procedure that can literally kill him.
There’s a desperation in her that gives away she might have other agendas (that she believes are altruistic). So maybe she knows about cold harbor almost being done (which is bad for some reason) and so she thinks lying to Mark about his wife and risking his life are justifiable means to an end.

To be clear about Burt, I believe the implication is that Burt is a core Lumon employee, since his service predates the invention of severance. I don't think Fields has involvement.

I've also seen an interesting comparison of Mark and Atilla, who died after a nosebleed on his wedding night. Given iMark's day, this might have been our last episode with the Marks being independent characters.(or they might swap places)

I caught on this rewatch a quick scene where Dylan and his outie wife kiss. It's kinda wild how she would probably prefer sticking with the innie version of her husband, at least a little

Your facts about Atilla the hun are very interesting, while the show does say it's just a reference to the "hun" part, there's no way there's not something more there. Killing his own brother is definitely something that's relevant to Severance, other than that I'm not knowledgeable enough about Attila the Hun to make any more links. I did see him be referenced as the "Scourge of God", and religion was brought up in this episode as well, but that may just be a stretch.

Also, he calls Burt 'Atilla' as an inside joke because they used to call each other 'hon' (short for "honey") all the time. 'Hon' as in 'hun' as in "Atilla the Hun." I think you might have missed that line.

The 12 vs 20 years thing matters because Burt said sending his innie to heaven was why he went to Lumen, but if severance only started 12 years ago and he was working for them before that it means he was lying.
