2025-01-25 04:48:08 +0000 UTCIn Blackjack, the goal is to get as close to 21 as you can without going over. You get two cards to start, and then have to choose if you want more cards ("hit") or want to stay with the cards you already have ("stay)". Anything above 21 is an automatic loss (called a "bust"). Getting exactly 21 with your first two cards (An ace, with a face card) is the best possible outcome and is called "Blackjack". It is a card game played directly against the casino ("the house") as opposed to against other players at the able. Spike essentially let himself get cheated at the table because he saw it was a pretty girl doing the cheating, and he wasn't playing with his own money anyway (He took the chips from the three men who he gave winning advice to). Faye thought he was losing on purpose because of the setup. Misunderstandings all the way around. Something to always bear in mind about Faye Valentine: She's a con artist and cheater, so by default that means you should mistrust every word out of her mouth. I'm not saying she WAS lying when she talked about her background. I'm just saying that you always need to consider that she MAY be lying. Every single episode.
