I was scrolling twitter and something came up that weirdly links with this. I know you girls watch a little bit of the NBA coz of the best player Jokic(He just is f you fight me) but Oikawa actually reminds me of Jimmy Butler. He never won the championship but he works his ass off and he give everything for his team. You have to respect someone like that regardless.

As someone who read the manga this situation is so frustrating because the manga ending is LITERALLY PERFECT. What a shame.

The fact that Oikawa "Lost" but actually Won is why I love Haikyuu's writing. The writer did him justice. What he gained and learned here was more important than winning the game itself... Honestly you could write a book on the character of Oikawa Toru one of the best characters in anime, easily.

The thought of Oikawa failing his final year to continue playing High School Volleyball is hilarious, Oh my God. Well All these boys dedicate their lives to volleyball so it's not farfetched to think Oikawa and Ushiwaka could both have bad grade lol

I said this on the youtube page, but copy pasting here so you guys don't miss it
there is a scene you need to watch after E25 that is soooo good. It's on youtube and I think only in one of the weird movies that are just like a recap of the season. I promise its worth the 6 mins Heres three ways to find it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lao54_hFaA0
You can also find it on CrunchyRoll, go to the Movies on season select, and it's in Haikyu!! the Movie: Talent and Sense, and start at 1:19:45
Or, you can just google S2 Haikyu post credit scene and it comes up
alsoback in S2E21 @Robert_H translated your mug's Mark Twain quote and reading his translation immediately made me think of : Today might be the chance to grasp the chance to let your talent bloom. Maybe tomorrow, the day after, or next year... Maybe even when you're thirty. I'm not sure if physique has anything to do with it, but if you think that it will never come, it probably never will." Didn't want to say it at the time and potentially ruin the impact of that quote.

seeing milena get emotional when sugamama joins in🥺 also i love that the final point is the same as s1 but this time hinata has his eyes open and manages to get the ball through, hinata really FOUGHT to get to this point because in the beginning the others were hesitant to let him try keeping his eyes open and try to have control of the ball in that split second in the air.. im so proud of my sunshine.

Oikawa's last pass to Iwaizumi and the one received from Daichii are two all time moments of Haikyuu for me.

tears tears tears 😭😭😭 this episode cemented oikawa as my favorite haikyuu character. it breaks my heart every time i watch his run after falling-- the desperation in his stride, on his face. god. and the music!!!!!! this match is in my top 3 within the entire series and maybe in the grand scheme of things, this one's not that important compared to their other matches. but nevertheless, this one is a match i will always cry for. and it's mostly because seijoh lost, and not about karasuno winning. this was the match that made me truly realize you can't really root 100% to our main team only. these characters and these teams are so well written and so so loved that you can't help but cheer for them to win. and then you realize that this show isn't about winning at all-- it's more than that. so much more.
gosh i can talk about this episode, and this series in general, for days and days on end. i'm so happy you feel the same way we do!
ps. also the fact that the final point on this match is the exact parallel of the final point in their first match in season 1 was just chef's kiss. iconic!

You're completely right about the description of Haikyuu's finale and Attack on Titan's finale.
Haikyuu Movie 1 = Final Season Part 2,
Haikyuu Movie 2 = Final Season Part 3 (Part 1),
Haikyuu Movie 3/Haikyuu Season 5 (Hopefully a season, please a 24 episode season) = Final Season Part 3 (Part 2), if we will even get the last big arc in anime format. It's the best final of a story ever! :(
If they press everything in the second Movie, it will be longer than The Lord of the the Rings or more rushed than Arcane Season 2. No joke. :D

oh brother... here we go crying for the 72837382th time lmfao 😭 Iwaizumi was going CRAZY on those receives and that long set Oikawa gave him was STUNNING and jaw-dropping, and regardless of the outcome of the match i do think Seijoh grew most and was a little bit stronger than Karasuno at this point in time, they were all just going crazy. can't wait for next episode and the extra Seijoh scene!!! i think you guys will adore it.

The desperation in Oikawa's run after setting the ball across the court to Iwazumi....it always makes my heart plummet. That moment always reminds me of the song "Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want" by the Smiths

Even at his defeat, Oikawa managed to make the highlight plays. The sheer will and effort he put in that final rally, the way he fell and scrambled desperately to get up despite the injury...his face showed it all. Just how much he loved the game and wanted to win. What a character.

You’re the first reactors of Haikyuu that I see that doesn’t scream or jump of excitement in the matches but cry because the emotions of every character! You’re one of a kind

It never gets easier seeing Oikawa lose. That set he gives Iwa? The way he falls and runs back slipping on the cloth? Chills every time
