Truly one of the endings of all time. Predictible, emotionally heavy and for the most part, completely being vague about the fate of some characters leaving you to look it up after you watched. I feel you though, you could see the beats a mile away and for me at least, it just wasn't as satisfying even though as always the show had amazing animation and visuals.

First of all, Ekko's nickname “The Boy Savior” is very fitting for his role in the finale. He saves everyone. Also, he couldn't go back more than 4 seconds because it hurts those around him, in episode 7 Heimerdinger. Here in the fight, it was just all the machines around him anyway, so he might as well go back further. Many have already mentioned that Jinx survived, but I would like to mention again that the writers' room had a lot of ideas for this episode, including almost an hour of ideas with Jinx and Ekko, Ekko talking about Powder from the other timeline, Jinx and Ekko building a close relationship and developing a plan to intervene in the fight against Viktor along with other people from Zaun following them as leader of the Firelights and protest figure against Piltover. The reason why none of that came into this episode was time, but also they didn't want to repeat themselves too much with episode 7 between Ekko and Powder. They also wanted to create a sense of surprise when they suddenly appear in the fight. I still wish we could have seen a scene with background music where the two of them are together and Ekko talks about Powder and how Ekko and Jinx convince the people of Zaun. I think this would have worked well at the end, so that after the scene they point to the air ship with: “Sometimes taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind.”

Act 3 of this mini game took place at Ekko's firelights base after Ekko and Jinx initial conversations in Ep9 and before they showed up in the battle. There are some dialogues really enhanced Jinx's characterization I wish they used in the finale (around 20:20 mins mark). #1: "You would've loved this place lsha. It's sorta quiet, just like you. miss ya, kid." #2: "This is who I'm doing it for, huh? City of Zaun, past and present. And a future worth fighting for" while Jinx looking at the mural
