I'm so glad that you guys didn't predict the Vander Warwick thing because it caught me off guard as well lol.

2025-01-08 13:09:31 +0000 UTCFor people like me that know a bit about the lore of League's universe, there's a scene in the first season once they capture Vander alive after the explosion caused by Powder, where you could see Singed at his workshop and what looked like Vander chained up with a claw similar to a wolf. In the game, there is the character called Warwick who, when he encounters Vi in the same game, he says "Don't forget who taught you how to fight" or something on those lines. So we knew right away Vander would become Warwick. If you dont know that, you can still figure out but it's way harder.

2024-12-25 22:43:43 +0000 UTCAs much as I love Jinx and I do, she is my favorite character. It always scared me to see that the people of Zaun viewed her as a symbol for the Revolution. Like Silco, who I also loved and even Sevika, NONE of these people should be viewed as the symbol. Not because they are evil, but while I understand where their pain and suffering came from and why they went to extremes, it doesn’t change the fact that their actions actually hurt Zaun just as much as it may have helped, especially Silco, and Sevika and Jinx were right there with him working with him. But I also understand why the people of Zaun are viewing her as a symbol, because in their eyes she’s the only one who actually did something to Piltover, and now she just rescued them, I can’t blame them for turning to her, even if it’s not the right thing. To me the person that deserves to be the symbol of the Revolution/Movement is undoubtedly Ekko, too bad my best boy disappeared, lol. Ekko truly represents the BEST of this world, words cannot express how much I love him.

2024-12-06 03:30:23 +0000 UTCYea that's why when you see movies in theater, they generally don't have subtitles. Like in the split second you look at subtitles, you might miss the subtle performance of the actors on screen.

I believe if Lola didn’t notice the Warwick in the subtitles they wouldn’t have been thinking about that and they would have actually been in the moment. And I hear people say “well it makes it so when we chat during the show and miss dialogue we still can be reading it so we don’t miss anything”. To me, that’s hogwash. Not to mention you just miss little details in the show with your eyes darting around and reading the conversation before it even happens. Takes away from the performances. Sorry for my rant. I hate subtitles.

2024-12-05 17:36:38 +0000 UTCIt’s a shame that you feel bad for not knowing who was saying powder. But that’s how shows should be. And it’s supposed to be a shock. That’s way better than figuring it out two episodes ago and knowing it’s going to happen. Just sit back, and enjoy the show. When things like that happen, be shocked it’s ok. I love it when things shock you guys or surprise you. When you guys what’s going to happen or who a person is and that comes true, that’s just anticlimactic, to me personally. I’ll always say my biggest super power is I just watch shows , I’m not trying to figure things out I’m not trying to discover things before they are shown or told to me. May be I’m just a little slow or dumb but to me it makes these moments right here much much more effective. Next episode will be a blast to see you guys react.

2024-12-05 07:38:47 +0000 UTCThis act is starting really really strong. Although I'm definitely biased since it's Jinx-focused and has a metal banger of a track! I feel so much for Sevika here, she tries so hard to bring Zaun together but whether it's organizing a truce between chembarons or a zaunite rally, she consistently gets rebuffed. Her grim acceptance when everyone is embracing Jinx as a hero is heartbreaking. Give Sevika a win for once! Continuing my little animation corner: The beast sequence is a masterful mix of powerful action and claustrophobic camera framing. One fun shot is when the beast is destroying those guards right after jinx says "get her out". It's a short two-second sequence that could be titled "POV: two of your coworkers get obliterated by a big boi and you're next". Normally impact frames don't have much detail since it's only going to appear for a fraction of a second, but they took the opportunity to give it a comic book flair and have it last a bit longer than usual. It's so good. They also managed to keep the red eyes as the main focus during the entire shot. The beast is too fast to follow but you can always track its piercing red eyes looking at you. I rewatched season 1 right before act 2 season 2 and it really enhanced the viewing experience for me with all the little details, call backs, parallels and overview perspective of character arcs for me.
