A Letter To My Future Son

As a man, you must rest with the satisfaction of doing well and let others speak of you as they please.

Do the common things uncommonly well. This is a secret to success.

When it comes to women, you will be captivated by beauty but understand beauty cannot raise children, when you want something serious, you need a great character woman with the right traits who can raise your daughter(s) to be women and who will be behind your son until its time for you to take him from a boy to a man.

A man with dreams must have a woman who trusts his vision or the relationship will not work. Choose wisely.

When you are angry, restrain from speech and restrain from action. Theres a lot of good hard working men doing 10+ years in jail because they allowed a moment of emotional uncontrol to get the better of them.

The idiots will always want a reaction. Do not degrade yourself down to their level because they will beat you with experience as they’ve spent their whole lives at the bottom

As long as they do not put hands on you, do not give anyone a reaction of anger of misery.

You are not soft for walking away. This world is ran by dorks in suits, not the tough guys covered in tattoos. Those guys are in jail, buried or spending the rest of their life in poverty. Don’t get tempted into trying to prove how ‘tough’ you are.

You cannot control how and what people think about you.

Let no-one persuade you by word or action to do or say whatever is not best FOR YOU.

As a young man, you will make mistakes. Own up and embrace your mistakes, it’ll make you better. Don’t take yourself so serious to the point you don’t try again. 

The world will view you as an incompetent dumbass if you consistently make dumb decisions. You cannot control how people think, but be aware of how people think.

In life you get what you negotiate and ask for. If you ask for success, be prepared to jump through lots of hurdles and break down lots of walls for this as it will not be handed to you.

Don’t feel bad for walking away from a fight. As long as you don’t walk away from the fight of life, you’re good.

Hate rarely ever comes from those doing better. It often comes from those who are beneath you.

Do not fear or resent other men who are better than you at certain aspects of life. Learn from them and become better.

Practice hard so the game comes easy. Put yourself through pain whilst training so when the fight comes, it’s easy.

Your image and your presence matters. Your physique and stature is important. You don’t need to look like a bodybuilder, but you must be built.

As a man life is not always about what you want, in fact the majority of your life is going to be about what you need. You can have both but always prioritise your needs before your wants.

When you’re young, you want lots of friends, but as you get older your friend’s problems will become your problems. The smaller the circle, the smaller the problem, the greater the friendship.

You can build a team with a lot of friends, but you can build an empire with the RIGHT friends.

Avoid making friends with those who are very ambitious but extremely lazy. These are people who talk a big game about how they want amazing things in life but their actions prove they’re unwilling to put the work to get there and this can affect you.

You cannot predict the future but the best way to have a chance at what you want in the future, is to spend every waking hour of the day doing what’s necessary to give yourself that best chance.

If you choose to be religious, always remember to put God first.

Risks are everywhere, any risk you take MUST be calculated. 

With continuous and progressive effort, you can do more in 12 weeks than others can do in 12 months.

Life is a competition. With everything you desire, there are other people who want it just as bad. If someone is in a position to open doors for you, then understand that person will be comparing you to the other people in the queue. Don’t fear this, competition shall be healthy, always give your best, be over-prepared and put your best foot forward when going after something you want.

Do not avoid pursuing things that are challenging to achieve. Things that are challenging usually have a high entry requirement. Therefore this means you will have less competition, meaning it will be easier for you to stand out and succeed. Many people often make excuses and avoid the path with resistance because they are lazy. When you pursue things that have a low barrier to entry, this attracts a lot of people, therefore the only ways you can succeed is by having a much greater level of skill above the rest, having luck play on your side… or both skill and luck

Freedom is the ultimate goal, but you will need to get money to unlock this freedom.

Money can make or break your life but it’s the choices and decisions you make that decide how that goes.

In the beginning, you’re gonna be a little confused and your vision will be blurry, but it will grow clear over time.

If you’re lost, just start somewhere and let this momentum carry you until you find a path. You will not be lost forever, it’s all temporary.

If you cannot find a way, make a way.

Sometimes you will have to grow through your worst in order to get to your best. Do not just dream about success but make sure you are consistently working towards it.

When you get tired, rest, make a new plan. Just don’t quit.

In the beginning, it is okay to work under someone else. You may have to help someone build their dream. But be wise with your money so you can fund your own dreams.

Once you build your dream, you will also be the one to hire someone else to help you build your dream and you shall pay those individuals fairly so they can do the same for themselves.

If you choose to be a boss, don’t think you can hire someone to do tasks you don’t want to do without knowing whats required to execute those tasks flawlessly. You must learn and know every aspect of your business that you are trying to successfully run or else you will hire the wrong people and you will blame them when you should blaming yourself due to a lack of knowledge.

Life will test you before it gives you the lesson. Many people refuse to accept the lesson because they think the test is cruel in the first place. They don’t believe they was even supposed to go through the test because they want Immediate answers. But you don’t get the answers until you go through the test. This happens in all aspects of life. Women, finances, physically, and mentally. All great successful men have been broken down. Husbands, business owners, professional athletes and other men with power and leadership had to build themselves into who they are today. Some of them have been broken down multiple times.

Even if someone else’s loses, learn from their experience.

As a man you must embrace the capabilities of human nature. Sometimes it can be your loved ones who treat you the worst than everyone else whilst claiming they love you the most.

As a man, you must learn to walk alone first before you walk with any crowd. And when you do walk with a crowd, it must be a crowd you’ve allowed to be around you. Not the crowd you had to force yourself to fit into.

Life is full of assholes, don’t be one of these types of people.

Practice stoicism, practice mindfulness, practice self control.

Your masculine drive and your ambition will lead you to always wanting more out of life, no matter what level you’re at. Use motivation as the ignition and tap into your discipline to maintain the momentum. 

Do not ever entertain a victim mentality.
