The scene between Tony and Christopher and the awkwardness to be vulnerable about their mental health is so hilarious and so sad. This is the product of toxic masculinity in their culture and their line of work. The inability to tell each other and admit to themselves that they suffer with depression and need help.. eventually escaping the subject by making dumb jokes and making a mockery of it. Christopher talking about having nightmares of his victims and experiencing physical changes. Yeeah.. I think that's your subconscious experiencing guilt. Its telling you to STOP! The way I interpret Christopher's guilt is that subconsciously he knows everything he does is wrong but as long as something of value comes of it, he can justify it to himself and ease that guilt in his mind. It makes it easier to live with himself. Big Puss telling him to "just keep doing more of it, eventually it goes away".. is the very definition of a sociopath's logic. Basically just keep doing those morally screwed up actions until its normalized in your brain. But the fact Christopher gets nothing from all these murders and illegal criminal acts (no step up the ladder or no sense of respect), it only makes the human guilt ring louder and harder to rationalize and ignore.

The "where's my arc" scene is so good. I feel like it's one of the most pivotal scenes in the entire show. I keep coming back to it (and watching the edits to this scene on youtube lol)

Christopher reminds me a bit of Ziggy from S2 of The Wire. Both are often made to feel disrespected and inferior to those around them. I really love the conversation this episode between Chris and Paulie. Chris has this Hollywood vision of what it means to be a gangster whereas Paulie is refreshingly awakened to his position in life. Believe it or not this show only gets better

I just needed to announce that I synced from the beginning without having to do any fine-tuning. Great success!

A lot of fans compare Tony’s dynamic with Christopher and Anthony Junior to Walter White’s dynamic with Jesse and Walter Junior. The son who is exploited for crime and the biological son who is sheltered but lied to Tony gives Chris the same casual abuse that his father gave him (pushing him into the mob life) while in the previous episode he said he’d love for Anthony Jr to be anything he wants to be. He takes AJ’s mental health seriously but not Chris, all while seeing a psychiatrist himself Love how the show deconstructs masculinity and patriarchal family units *Christopher is in his mid 20s

I'm waiting for Chris to build an ark and start collecting two of every animal 😂

“You ever feel nothing good was ever gonna happen to you?” “Yeah, and, nothing did, so what?” God I quote this show..I hope you girls don’t start quoting this show ever because it can turn into a bad habit sometimes hehe

we chose to talk about chris in the intro about how we wanna know more and we literally got it in this episode. its too good

This is my favourite episode of the first season, and the episode that made me start to love Christopher.
