The Boys 4x04 Reaction

Homelander is such an amazing character and Anthony Starr will go down in history for his performance in the boys

JATLA

Monster - Bottom's up, and the devil laughs.

Vulhorn

The wait for HxH is killing me this episode is gonna destroy all of us

Isaiah Cox

I can't stop pressing F5 hahah

Nando

I was shocked when I found out Anthony is a kiwi. He plays his parts so well and so naturally I really thought homelander had to be American lmao

Amber

I'm already crying for hxh

Wallas

Hxh today?

Ammar gayal

You mean episode 8. Homelander's plan is frighteningly close to what happened yesterday.

Robert H.

Lmaooooooooooooooooo

Jack SV

With what happened yesterday I think I know what The Boys season 5 will be about.

Shivering King Banana

the lobotomy scene was one of the worst things I've seen in my life

Wallas

Anthony Starr deserves an Emmy one of the best performances I've seen of last decade and he does it consistently every season

Ben Rafferty

This episode is one of the best in the show imo. Antony star is one of the best casting choices ever he’s so perfect.

Cole

And I can completely agree with you in the discussion that this season is weak when it comes to our team, their stories and their dialog. Only Butcher's story was able to pick me up this season. Additionally, Homelander, Ryan, A-Train and the social critique are extremely good, which is why I can still enjoy this season. I'll probably write a longer comment-rant on episode 7/8, because I want to go into more detail about what bothers me about Frenchie's, Kimiko's, MM's, Hughie's and Annie's storylines this season.

Robert H.

I imagine it's because other scenes are way over the top to take seriously, but sticking something in your eye, or even Hughie hurting his ankle are things more grounded in reality and you can relate to that kind of pain more, hence causing a stronger reaction. Either way, I hated that scene 😄

HenryM

I think frenchie realized how much harm he did to Collin at AA and tried to be a friend to bring some joy in his life as some fucked up way to pay for what he did… and then it snowballed

Jimmy lujan

beg to differ 😂

I have no idea which of you two edited this episode (I think Lola, because of the title of the reaction), but you have my full admiration. That lobotomy scene was so gruesome that I hit the fast forward button in a panic when I saw the episode for the first time. And with you, I've already prepared an old cardboard lid to cover the TV when the scene is playing. My girlfriend is also completely insane, as confirmed by me. She just laughed out loud at the scene (or me, I'm not sure) during your reaction while I practically jumped up from the couch to put the cardboard lid in front of the TV in time.

Robert H.

Ohh come on the lobotomy scene wasn’t as bad as the other scenes in this show so far lol

Jack SV

Yep, that was pretty much my reaction to the eye scene, couldn't even look at the screen lol

HenryM

Such a good reaction lmao had me laughing much. Agreed though, what a performance by him

Unholy

Ohh one of the best episodes this season for sure! Homelander is more complex than people give his character credit for.

Jack SV

definitely, he’s not a person (kid) anymore, he is a symbol, better than people, its just really sad

tomorrow 😊

My theory is that Homelander refuses to be called John because John was this weak kid who was just a lab rat for Vought. Homelander, on the other hand, is the hero of America, celebrated by his followers. The writing for this character is just spot on.

Robert H.

Is there Hunter today?

bondbond53

These people are monsters I have no sympathy with what they did Homelander should have been raised with love like how Ryan was raised
