As much as I think the chimera ant arc is one of the best arcs in anything I've ever seen, one thing it really doesn't have is connection to the rest of the series. Basically none of the characters we knew before the arc are even in it, except for gon, killua, and netero. Whenever I watch this show, it's always so nice to finish it and suddenly get thrust back into the rest of the world of HxH. Ging? Who's that? They haven't brought him up in 50 episodes.
