it's the same with Diego (the dictator). The dude was described as an horrendous tyrant, yet he was able to get away of all the violence and live a life of peace and serenity with his dog and writing poetry. Meruem cause the death of thousands of people, including personally killing a child, yet he was able to spend his last moments in peace with the person he loved the mosto. I think HxH not really about being punished for your bad deeds, but to be able to make peace with yourself after it all. You can't change your past, but you can work on a better future.

final arc of the series!! excited to see more of your reactions to ging, he's really something. also while I'm at it, here to recommend my fav anime steins;gate to watch after ranking king for the second time! its in the top five anime of all time on MAL [the anime IMDB], 24 eps only, dont think I'll do it justice but I'll try. its a fantastically written, deeply, deeply emotional sci-fi story thats better left completely untold, basically you have this group of friends led by the extremely eccentric mad scientist okabe who hangout in their lab carrying out scientific experiments in order to revolutionize the world when they accidentally invent something that does just that like never ever before. whats awesome is that the science is explained so thoroughly its almost believable. it starts slowburn and slice of lifey but all for a purpose later revealed. like atla, fmab, and hxh, the cast is very lovable and well-written, I especially adore the dynamics in this anime, they're the most fun and endearing I've probably ever witnessed, the main character is hilarious, he has unique and exciting interactions with all the characters. the dialogue is one of my favs, more exciting than most action scenes for me personally. also I gotta mention that there's a character who's the most wholesome, adoptable thing ever that you'll just adore. one last thing! the production is masterclass, music, direction, cinematography , etc.. and also it has a lot of the themes you mentioned you love but wouldn't wanna spoil!

funny i find this kind of storytelling moving as well. the way they started the arc and bookended it with the same characters gave it a really special feel. i understand the idea that its a long arc but for me the patience of the storytelling makes the most compelling moments really shine.

I loved this episode, it really packs a punch. The reunion with Reina and her mother is a great conclusion to one of the first moments in the arc. I think with what resonates with the girls, the next arc will be greatly appreciated by them. *SPOILER* Any sibling stuff always seems to affect them a lot, especially Milena. I also remember that Lola specifically wanted someone to put Ging in his place. Can’t wait for that reaction!

I always thought it was funny that Bizeff slips free and forms a weird little pack with Welfin and Hina. He’s the kind of character you’d expect the story to punish for being such a creep, but Hxh doesn’t treat him with much hostility at all. He gets off pretty easy. It feels on brand though, the show always has this impartiality for the morality of its characters.

The episode previews at the end of the episode are narrated by Gon and Killua (most of the time) as if they were doing a voice over, so it's not always relevant to the coming episodes and sometimes it's about the episode we just watched. For example, in the preview following episode 131, Gon is saying "I never got to say this, Killua, but thank you for everything." And in episode 87, the preview was just Gon and Killua tickling each other and laughing So it's quite random, and often cute to listen to

^ You literally can’t prove that. There’s no panel in the manga that remotely suggests that. There’s more concrete facts that are already established that reinforces this idea that she fed his organs to the queen. It makes way more sense than (SPOILER) ; “Oh it’s because of Kite’s power…” Then just have no explanation of how it works. And which btw, is just Ging’s guess. He actually wasn’t there. The mental acrobatics it would take to make the logistics of that power work within Nen rules is a lot. But go ahead try. Make it make sense.

Lol you can't not speculate on Kite, we'll see what that situation is all about. I honestly forgot this episode a bit but Reina's reunition with her mother is one of my favorite scenes in the entire arc because it very cleanly messages to the viewer what the point of the entire arc was by showing you a mother who accepts her child no matter what she looks like or what she's gone through, exemplifying both the humanity in humans and chimera ants. Also I think you'll really love this final arc (of the anime), it includes some of my favorite scenes.

When Pitou realized she couldn’t resurrect Kite, it’d make sense for her to at least feed his brain to the queen. Because why wouldn’t she? It’s their literal job. Given that she’s the character that told Meruem it’s the most delicious and nutritious part of the human body. Also calls back to the time when Meruem said he was occasionally treated with multiple rare humans while he was in her belly. So we literally have all the prerequisites perfectly established for that narrative to make sense. But since Togashi’s brain works like a labyrinth, the mf had to make it more complicated that it needs to be.
