When my friends and I watched, this was our working theory! We'd changed our minds by this episode though

- In the second episode Barv, the shopkeeper in Filly says to Lucy: "I can tell by looking at you. Clean hair. Nice Teeth. And all ten fingers"
- As Norm and Chet enter Vault 32, there is in a screen a video about mouse overpopulation. This is a reference to the Universe 25 Experiment, a famous real experiment by a biologist named John Calhoun. The Universe 25 Experiment studied the effects of overcrowding on social behavior in mice. leading to a societal collapse due to increased aggression, social withdrawal, and declining birth rates, ultimately resulting in the extinction of the population. Despite being provided with a utopian environment where food, water, and shelter were abundant, the mice still experienced severe social and behavioral disruptions leading to the population collapse.

lola really was affected by the ass jerky scene. ngl, the "he just ate ass" moment took me out πdon't know if you've ever watched the what we do in the shadows tv show (amazing sit com) but snip snip being voiced by matt berry was just too good.

Regarding the ghouls, in the games there's basically the normal ghouls that still have their intelligence and there are feral ghouls that just act like zombies basically.

The fallout world was the same as our world until about 1950. That's when the timelines split between the real world and the Fallout world.
It's like if the vision of the future people had in 1950 become reality.

The transistor was never invented. At least that's what Maximus said in an interview. Maybe it was state of the art tech that hadn't reached mass production when the bombs fell.
Edit: Just checked the wiki, it says it was invented but never fully utilized so microelectronics never caught on. Apparently the Platinum Chip was a microelectronic. Makes sense for House to have advanced tech like that.

Technology in this timeline has evolved differently.. if my memory doesnβt fail me, they rely more on nuclear energy/ technology and the transistor was invented way later down their timeline. Regarding your theories about the vaults... they are interesting and I just going to leave it at that lol and they said the Ghoul name multiple times in the past, but Iβm guessing either Milena or Lola are gonna catch that in the next episodes. If there is one thing right they do in this show is building up suspense and making you want to know more about the vaults and this world.

The reason for years and aesthetic not lining up is because the Fallout timeline diverges from ours back in like the 40s, and in their universe they went all in on nuclear power for everything instead of gas like we did. So its not our future, its a future from that alternative timeline.
