(ARTICLE) 60 Financial Commandments About Money That Will Get You Ahead Financially

Firstly,

whether you are a man or woman, read this (if you have not already) before progressing on with these commandments

https://www.patreon.com/posts/53253466

1. Invest Early

Invest as early as possible, and never stop.

If you are going to have a child, open up a retirement account for your child before you even conceive the child; that way, they can be a millionaire well before 30.

I've demonstrated how to do this for yourself or your child step by step here:

https://www.patreon.com/posts/53858356

2. Credit Cards

If you can’t handle a credit card responsibly, wait until you’re ready to own one, doing this will save you plenty of financial trouble.

Below, I spoke on how to properly manage credit.

https://www.patreon.com/posts/45883052

3. Paying Off Debts

Debt is the greatest hinder to financial success.

Avoid bad debt at all costs.

If you have any:

- Credit card debts

- Pay day loans

- Fines

Pay those of as soon as possible. Also, failing to pay them on time will result to it impacting your credit score which can make it extremely difficult if you want to make certain big purchases in the future.

In this video, I went in depth of the subject of Good and bad forms of debt:

https://www.patreon.com/posts/47159688

4. Student Loans

If you can, avoid student loans .

Try and achieve the same qualifications through an apprenticeship or a scholarship.

Of course, there are certain fields of work where University is a MUST.

5. Spend Less Than You Earn

It's not entirely about the AMOUNT of money you're making.

What matters more is the behaviour and relationship you have with money.

A lot of people simply think that making more money will solve all their financial troubles, when in fact, having more money would just be adding more fuel to the fire as theyll have a bigger budget to be doing stupid shit with.

There's a lot of people making 6 figures+ a year but they're still having financial struggles and living paycheque to paycheque.

Focus on building a healthy relationship between you and your finances.

Spend less than you earn.

Here is a video i made on how to manage money: https://www.patreon.com/posts/45883052

6. Further Education Or Na?

College/University is great, but it’s not necessary.

It doesn’t make you more valuable than someone else.

It doesn’t make you a better person.

It doesn’t necessarily make you a smarter person.

It doesn’t always make you more money than the non-university/college graduate.

What takes you to high levels in life is people you know and the relationships you have built.

This what holds a lot of people back from being where they truly desire. They don't have those relationships.

It's good to have certain qualifications, It's way more important to have the right relationships.

over here, I explained how to build those relationships:

https://www.patreon.com/posts/52251141

7. Your Partner Has To Also Have A Healthy Relationship With Money

Make sure the man or woman you get into a serious committed relationship with has a healthy relationship with money.

They don’t have to care about it as much as you, but they need to prioritise financial stability, financial health, and financial education.

I explained how to do this over here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/49227931

8. The Emergency Fund

ALWAYS have an emergency fund. ALWAYS!

An emergency fund brings you peace of mind, and peace of mind is priceless.

I explained it all here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/56231879

9. Financial care = self-care.

10. Health

Holistic health includes emotional well-being, mental well-being, physical well-being, spiritual well-being, sexual well-being, professional well-being, and financial well-being.

If you neglect one, it will affect the others.

11. Income

You get paid according to your self-worth. How much do you currently value yourself?

https://www.patreon.com/posts/56233031

12. Boundaries

You don’t have to say “yes” to every business opportunity, every event, every person, and everything else.

Boundaries are challenging to implement later in life, but the sooner you implement them, your life experience will be more profound and easy.

Unfortunately, most people do not have financial boundaries; if this is you, implement them with yourself and others.

During your wealth building years, you'll have to be a little selfish financially. This means you'll have to say no to some of the financial requests which come from your family and friends.

You cannot pour from an empty cup. Give back when you're financially abundant.

13. If you're not satisfied with your income, change it.

Heres a guide on some strategies to make £100,000 per year:

https://www.patreon.com/posts/56233031

14. Being Different Is Good

It’s okay to think differently than everyone else.

Be an outlier.

Be the robot that has a glitch.

Most people follow the follower. If you want to be successful with money, you can increase your chances by doing what most people don’t do

Most people spend money they don’t have and live paycheque to paycheque.

If you do the opposite, you will already be better off than most people.

Most people get paid, waste all their money on BS, then they are broke until the next pay day.

Heres a smart strategy on how to properly use money:

https://www.patreon.com/posts/54421356

15. Health Is The Real Wealth

You can have all the money in the world, but it means nothing without your health.

Being healthy is a life long journey.

It takes consistent effort, and it’s not always easy.

There are extremely rich people who are sick but would trade all their money to be healthy.

When you start making money, don't worry so much about stocks, real estate and crypto.

Your first few investments should be a gym membership, a great diet and depending on your budget, a personal trainer.

16. Cut Off Toxic Addictions

Avoid addictions to things, people, circumstances, and substances.

Addictions often impact you financially at some point.

Give this podcast a listen:

https://www.patreon.com/posts/50491767

17. Put Yourself First

Always make yourself your number one priority because that is who you have to live with daily.

When you care about yourself, you ensure you are taken care of financially.

You avoid decisions that will deteriorate or compromise your financial health.

18. You Are Your Greatest Asset, You Are Your Greatest Investment

Invest in yourself.

Spend money on yourself in ways that will benefit you indefinitely.

Increase not only your net worth but your self-worth.

19. Be A Giver

Give more than you receive from others.

Being a giver is 1000% more rewarding than being a receiver.

However, we live in a cold world where some people will mistake that as a weakness and will try to take advantage to milk you out of everything you have to offer.

So as a giver, you have to have limits because the takers never will.

20. Financial Independence

Be independent financially  mentally, and emotionally.

There is nothing sweeter than the taste of independence.

21. Move Around

You don’t have to live in the same country, state, city, or home for the rest of your life.

Instead, move around, live in different places, and acquire new experiences; this will enrich your mind, body, spirit, and soul.

If you have the opportunity to move to a new location for work or education. Do it

(without it not affecting you financially)

Get out of your comfort zone.

22. Don't Live To Impress

The new cars, the big houses, the name-brand clothes, and everything else that comes with money is nice but unnecessary, especially if you can’t afford it.

Don’t be a fraud. At the end of the day, it’s just you.

You don’t need to waste time and energy trying to impress people or live a life you’ve been taught to buy into. Think about what YOU really want, not what everyone else wants.

23. Have A Plan

Write your goals down, journal your goals, review your goals, and consistently work on your goals.

This sounds very cliche but it helps a lot.

Also, celebrate small milestones.

24. Be A Student Of The Game

Read, Watch, Listen and consistently acquire new financial information or information that can profit you financially.

25. Kalma Is A Bitch

Don’t exploit others for money - it always comes back full circle.

26. Minimalism

Your likes will change, and sometimes there is nothing you can do about that except embrace acceptance.

Get rid of things that no longer bring you joy and add value to your life. Embrace minimalism

27. Fuck With People Who Are Heading To The Same Places As You

Find someone you can simultaneously evolve with.

Because if only one person evolves in a relationship, it’s most likely not going to last.

And if it does last, it will potentially be filled with unhappiness, discontentment, and unfulfillment.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHANGE/FIX ANYONE.

The higher the quality of your relationships, the higher the quality of your money.

Heres a post I created on: Keys To Healthy Relationships

https://www.patreon.com/posts/56101343

28. Cash Purchases

It feels so much better when you can say,

"Yes I can afford to buy the car i want with CASH but I choose not to”

Than buying a car you can’t afford.

Be in control of your money and the materials you buy. And be mindful about large purchases on quickly-depreciating assets.

29. ZERO EXCUSES

If you didn’t learn about money growing up, this does not grant you an excuse to fail at personal finance in the present day.

So take action and learn for yourself how to successfully manage your money and budget.

Theres a wealth of information on this Patreon on financial education.

30. Marriage?

You don’t have to get married, and if you do want to get married, it doesn’t have to be at a certain age.

And remember to safeguard your assets before you get married, because sometimes it just doesn’t work out.

31. Kids?

Children are a true blessing and they are absolutely adorable.

However, Children are not free.

If You want children, make sure you can afford to raise them properly. No child deserves to come into a world of struggle.

32. Kids, again

Most people aren’t ready to have children because they have yet to deal with their own issues.

Whatever issues you don’t deal with, your children will deal with.

Many people take the responsibility of having kids lightly.

It’s respectable for a person to say, “I’m not ready to have children because I’m still working on some internal issues.”

Than for someone to have children just because they want them or are running out of time on their “biological clock.”

33. Shut The Fuck Up & Listen When Some people Are Talking To You

Learn from others who are more successful, more intelligent and more distinguished than you

Don’t seek to learn all of your knowledge from your peers.

34. Two Kinds Of People

There are two kinds of people in life: doers and talkers.

So be a doer — especially when it comes to money and business decisions.

35. Don't Feel Bad For Doing Whats Best For You.

If you don’t want to attend a work event outside of working hours, don’t go. And never apologise, feel bad, or care what your colleagues may or may not think about you.

Who gives a fuck.

Time is money, and one thing you can never get back is your time.

36. Don't Be Ignorant

If you continue to neglect someone or something pretty soon, it will matter.

Don’t neglect your finances.

Don’t neglect to save and investing early.

 Don’t neglect financial education.

Don’t neglect to maintain a close eye on your finances.

37. Relationships

Relationships can make or break you — especially financially. Choose your relationships wisely.

Life is all about having the right relationships.

38. Habits

Habits can make or break you. Choose your habits wisely.

39. Boundaries, Again

Every time someone asks for money, and you have it, know that you don’t have to say “yes.”

Boundaries, my friend. Boundaries.

40. Like Attracts Like

You attract other people like you.

So if you want to attract healthier and more successful people into your life, it all starts with you.

41. It's Not Your Responsibility To Fix Everyone - Some People Are Supposed To be Fuck Ups, It EEEZ WAT IT EEZ

Codependence is destructive, limiting, and a time-waster.

You can’t save everyone financially. Sometimes, you have to let people learn how to swim.

Offer financial advice and financial assistance (when you can afford it), but don’t overexert yourself financially and become a yes person to everyone who has a financial woe, or soon you will be in their shoes

42. Mentors

Always have financial mentors (even if those mentors are people you don’t know in person, such as authors and other financial gurus) that can be your objective sounding board for the different financial seasons of your life.

43. Negative & Positive Thinking Patterns

Your thoughts can free and elevate you or enslave and limit you.

 Choose your thoughts wisely.

Remember, your thoughts create your reality — in all aspects.

44. Rent

Keep your rent/mortgage payment 10–15% (or less) of your net income.

45. Car Payments

Avoid car payments. If you decide to take on a car payment, have the cash (in your bank account) to buy the car outright.

Don't be the man/woman with 5K in the bank and driving a 70K car

Be the man/woman with 70K in the bank (or investments) and driving a 5K car

46. Budgeting

ALWAYS know what is happening when it comes to your money. Be in the know.

Do not freestyle your finances.

watch This: https://www.patreon.com/posts/49226227

47. Be In Control

Stay in charge of YOUR money. Never leave the responsibility of your money up to someone else.

48. Credit Cards, Again

Pay for everything with your credit card to earn money or points back on purchases, and increase your financial security.

If you can’t use a credit card responsibly, stay away from them altogether.

49. For women

If you have kids, open up a retirement or investment account for them the day you get pregnant, adopt, or start prepping to have your kid.

Why not set up your kid to be a millionaire before age 30?

50. Living To Impress, Again

Buy only what you truly desire.

Don't buy to impress.

Don’t buy because everyone else is buying.

Don’t buy to fill a void.

Don’t buy things you won’t use consistently.

Always buy intentionally.

51. Increasing Your Income

Increase your income yearly. Never go a year without increasing your income.

Get creative.

52. Being Frugal

Until you reach financial independence, live with family, friends, roommates, etc.,

to save money and live below your means.

But you may want to continue living with others even after reaching financial independence.

Extra cash flow always feels good.

53. Watch Who You Date

Be careful who you sleep with, partner with, or date.

Make sure they are money conscientious.

Make sure the person you are with has a healthy relationship with money.

Maintain firm financial boundaries.

Do not let others divert you from your financial goals.

54. Kids.............Again

Don’t have Children you can’t afford.

Don't have kids until you can afford to raise them and invest in them fully without going into debt.

55. Emergency Fund, again

I recommend to create a 1–2 year emergency fund.

Traditional financial advice recommends 3–6 months, but this only buys you a little bit of time in true emergencies.

Sometimes one emergency can wipe out a 6-month fund in no time.

56. Saving

Attempt to Save 50% of your income.

For those who cannot save 50% of your income, make you have £500-£1000 leftover every month to put into savings and investments.

57. Gucci, Louis, Prada?

Avoid overpriced luxurious name-brand clothing until you can afford it without hurting your soul and thinking twice about it.

58. Birthday Gifts

Ask for “cash only” for birthdays.

We getting older now, It can't be just me who's tired of receiving Shower sets for birthdays.....

59. Birthdays, Again

If you have children, don't get them toys for their birthday.

Buy them a stock or a crypto currency for their birthday.

They wont understand it now, but when they're 25 years old and living of those investments you made for them, they will be grateful.

60. Investing

All you have to invest into is the S&P 500 & Index Funds and you'll be okay.

Read this: https://www.patreon.com/posts/53361638

Have a decent and thorough understand of how that works first before you progress onto much more advanced investment strategies.

Theres also a plethora of information online on this subject.

Till Next Time.
