there are spoilers in the ending, not just Komugi. There is a huge spoiler they didn't notice, and they didn't notice it because they don't watch the ending carefully as they do with the opening, they really don't care about it...this is another reason why they could have skipped it

The girls have been already spoilered by random comments like this in the past. You say "freaking out"...in many comments there are small hints or allusions to what is going to happen, nobody says anything about them. This is an explicit and unneccessary spoiler! We are all impatient. Throwing a spoiler like that, and not deleting, it's just disrespectful

2024-03-05 09:16:24 +0000 UTCI think when it comes to the royal guard, it's worth remembering their conversation with Meruem (whose name you pronounced exactly right btw) about his name. None of them gave an answer that satisfied him, yes, but I think their specific responses are very telling about their characters. Pouf assures him his the King, and there's no need for a name beyond that. Youpi, without any pride or ego, says such a question is beyond him and he doesn't have an answer. Pitou tells him he should pick his own name based on what feels right. I think these are all very indicative of their different personalities and ways of thinking about the king.

If you go back to the Hunter Exam arc, in the tricksters swamp section of phase 1 there's an animal there called "The Hypnosis Butterfly", which put all the applicants that saw it to sleep. It's incredibly likely that Pouf has the DNA of this particular butterfly, and that his wing scale ability isn't even nen it's just a natural power he posseses.
