We see it flying around Netero as he 'prepares' and there is focus on the eagle. It also seemed to be listening into the conversation the king was having with his guards (which could explain how Netero knew the King wanted to know his name and that he was wavering between ant and human) and when the King released all that nen, he overrode Netero's nen on the eagle, making the eagle act on the King's impulse which was, at that point, to kill komugi

2024-03-02 09:27:13 +0000 UTCThat was a very good point by Lola on how the Guards don't view the King as a person. Komugi was the first person to want to know Who he is instead of What he is. I think it was symbolic when Komugi gave the King advice on Gungi and he said something along the lines of "I'm not used to making sacrifices" She's learning his personality without even speaking much, just by seeing how he plays. Every time they speak he either learns something about her or himself and that's not something he gets from anyone else in his life. The King admitted to himself earlier that he is bad at self-analysis. It's not just Gungi the King is learning from Komugi, she makes him more complete as a person. Edit: To add what someone on youtube replied to me. This is the first time Komugi is being treated like a person too.

2024-03-02 04:18:37 +0000 UTCOne of the best episodes so far! 1. The King's identity crisis and teetering between ant and human. All mostly because of Komugi. And her name reveal. Komugi was the first one to even care about knowing his name besides the queen. ♥ 2. The king asking the guards about his name was telling of how their personalities. Pouf, reveres the title of king and all it entails. Youpi, doesn't think too much and just minds his own business, and Pitou, prioritizes how the king feels above anything else. Bonus: I've read an interesting Reddit comment that says the eagle felt Netero's nen and its animosity towards the king and went to the king to attack the king and when the eagle felt the King's nen, it felt (arguably some. He's confused about his feelings about her at the time) animosity towards Komugi and attacked Komugi. I'm not completely sold but it's interesting.

2024-03-02 01:50:30 +0000 UTC"For so long he has just been the king" probably isn't the right way to put it. It's easy not to think about it, but the guys only about a month old right now. Rather than being so used to being a certain way, it's more the opposite, he literally hasn't had time to become anything other than what he was born as yet. He basically hasn't experienced anything but killing some ants and farmers, flying to this palace, and sitting in that room playing board games. Plus the 3 people closest to him only really act in ways that reinforce what he's "supposed" to be. This is just the first time it happened to be questioned in his EXTREMELY short life.
