(ARTICLE) 31 Side hustle Ideas

Before you start reading,

I'd like to make it very clear that some of these ideas will require some kind of WORK, PATIENCE AND EFFORT to get them built.

A lot people nowadays hear the word "Side hustle" and think its something which can be built up over a weekend.

Those people usually ally end up falling off because they didn’t realise that some side hustles also require A LOT of work to build them up.

The BEST Side hustle idea is what I've mentioned in all the previous videos about success.

"Find something you enjoy doing or something you are good at, then proceed onto finding and building a way to monetise it"

But this is boring for people. why? because it's not overnight results

NOTHING in life thats worth having will ever happen overnight.... too many people are looking for this secret and effortless "hustle"

1. Sales Agent / Coach - If you have knowledge in sales or you're very good at selling you can make good money doing this. There's a lot of car salesmen and real estate agents who make crazy commissions just from selling things.

2. Marketing Consultant - If you have Knowledge in marketing, you can help small businesses, you can help influencers with marketing.

3. Web Developing - Learning the skill of creating good looking websites can land you a bunch of side jobs because of a lot of small businesses don't have good looking or proper functioning websites. I've heard people making around £500 - £2,000 per website they design. depending on how good they are at it and their experience.

You can learn this by either teaching yourself through youtube courses then finding your own work after by reaching our to companies with bad websites or going with an IT online course to where you'll be qualified by the end and be sent work to do. these courses take around 6-12 months to complete.

4. Software Engineering, Coding - Same as above

5. Personal Trainer - If you're someone who enjoys fitness, why can't you go and get qualified as a Personal trainer and then start sharing your valuable knowledge on fitness which can help other people?

You can start a youtube channel and other social medias and document your fitness journey. If you don't want to go the social media route, you'll have to get work in a gym and build up a clientele whilst you work in the gym, then when you've built up enough clients, you can charge your own prices and set your own schedule.

Doing this will not be quick or easy because building up a clientele is mostly sales and a numbers game. not everyone you ask will say yes to training with you.

6. Social Media Manager - This when you look after a businesses online presence. Everything from making sure scheduled posts are done and all emails and dm's are responded to.

7.  Day Trading - Not one for the feint hearted as it takes experience and knowledge to become good at this which also means you can loose a bit of money in the process. If you are to do this ONLY TRADE WITH MONEY YOU ARE OKAY WITH LOOSING.

8. Ecommerce - If you have experience in selling things online through amazon (or anywhere else) you can teach people how to do it and make money that way.

It doesn’t make sense to do this if you yourself have never managed to sell a thing online.

9. Writing Coach - If you're someone who's very good at writing books, articles then you can do this by doing online blogging or being a ghost writer for social media influencers / accounts.

10. Public Speaking Coach - If you're great at public speaking, you can make a lot of money teaching people how to develop the confidence and improve their public speaking skills.

11. Image consultant - If you have a good eye for fashion and clothes, you can build your image consulting business. You can make youtube videos and/or taking photos of your outfits you put together then writing about what inspired you to go for certain looks. then you can slowly build up a following around this and get clients that way.

12. Finance & Investment coach - If you're able to help people make money, you will make money. get the necessary qualifications required before you give people 1-1 financial advice.

13. Crypto trading coach - Same as above

14. Fear, anxiety, psychology and happiness coach - theres people who struggle with these things, if you know how to help them deal with it, you can make money.

15. Femininity Coach - If you're a girl (or guy) who has a great understanding on how women can be more feminine, you can build an online following around this and then get your own clients that way.

16. Yoga instructor - same as number 5

17. Gaming - If you enjoy playing games. stop doing it for free. start a youtube channel and create gaming videos which can entertain or teach others.

18. programming / coding coach - you can make money TEACHING people how to code and programme softwares.

19. Dating coach - if you have a very good understanding of how men and women operate in the dating scene, you can make money by teaching people how to do this properly and avoid going through or overcome certain things in the dating fields. I know of some dating coaches who charge £1,000 per hour for a Skype call, you'll have to build a clientele list which comes from doing free work for a bit.

20. Photography/ videography - If you're good with cameras and video/photo editing softwares, start looking and doing freelance work, build your portfolio and then you'll be able to charge prices for your work.

A close friend of mine started doing this by doing wedding photoshoots .... now he does video shoots for the biggest UK music platforms with the biggest rappers in the UK and some abroad work where his flights, accommodation is all paid for + his pay.

21. Dog trainer ( or any other animal) - If you're good with dogs, you can do this as a side hustle.

22. Sports referee - This is something you could do on the weekends to earn a bit extra

23. Become a tutor - It doesn’t necessarily have to be academic, find a skill you're good at and  offer to teach it or build an online presence by teaching it.

I think theres ways in being an online English tutor nowadays, I'm not sure. but if you can speak a certain language, their may be ways you can make money by teaching others. do more research

24. Drop shipping - This is where you advertise someone else's product, send them to an online store, then the manufacturer sends the product directly to your customer. You physically don't touch the product.

Drop shipping probably won't make you any large kind of income you can live on like some of these online gurus claims it can.

the drop shipping marketplace is EXTREMELY competitive, the profits are very low and it is not a great long term business model....in my opinion.

I do think It's worth attempting as its a good way to learn how to run a business with little to nothing start up costs.

and most older people with older online businesses end up getting bankrupts which leads to them selling them, so if you have that drop shipping knowledge, you can buy one of them online stores/businesses and use your dropshipping skills to make those Businesses profitable again and move them forward into the digital world.

25. Start A Youtube Channel - grow an audience on youtube, get monetised and allow adverts to run on your videos.

The best type of youtube channels are the ones the provide knowledge or teaching some type of information.

Entertainment channels are also great but just be aware they do take a while and are much harder to grow.

26. Video / photo editor - if you understand how to use editing softwares and you're good at editing videos and pictures, you can reach out to social media influencers, youtubers, small businesses and offer your services.

If you don't understand how to use editing softwares then this is a skill you can teach yourself.

softwares like Adobe premier PRO, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, After effects, illustrator...

27. Uber eats - Deliveroo driver - If you have spare time, you can use that to do delivery services and these jobs are usually very flexible which allows you to set your own working hours.

28. Local services - This is things like gardening, cleaning, any kind of maintenance jobs. These are things that require little to no skills but people just can't be bothered to do them, especially on weekends

29. Reselling - This is when you buy high in demand items such as Shoes, clothes, accessories or even technology that you know will go out of stock very fast and then reselling it at a higher price.

A good example would be the PS5. It normally costs at the initial release date £450 but because it sold out so far and stock is extremely limited, people have been reselling them for £800+

A way to be part of the first ones to get the new drops is to be part of online groups

search on google "Scalping groups".

These groups will charge you a monthly fee and what these groups do is to send you notifications to your phone and as soon as retailers get new stock on a high in demand item, you'll be part of the few who will get the first notification for it, then you buy, then sell it for a profit when the item is out of stock.

30. Reselling shoes/clothes - Go to thrift stores, buy nice clothes or shoes you reckon you can make a profit from, then resell them on Ebay, Amazon or setup up your own depot store and sell it.

You can also go to outlet stores and do the same as most shoes and clothes in outlet stores are usually on limited stock which means theirs a chance you can sell at a profit.

31. Online freelancing - Things like Data entry, freelance writing, general admin tasks, virtual assistant, coding, web design, photo and video editors,

websites such as.....

https://www.fiverr.com/start_selling

https://www.upwork.com/

https://www.freelancer.com/

https://www.peopleperhour.com/

https://www.mytutor.co.uk/tutors/apply/

Those are a few sites I'm aware of where you can find online freelancing work. theres a range of different things, so take some time to go through them all.

For example, if I was someone who had taken the time to develop the skill of being good at creating and developing websites, I could just go on one those sites and find people who are actively looking for website creators and/or developers baring in mind I'd be based on my level of experience and how good I am at it.

So if i was brand new, I wouldn't even care about money, I'd be more focused on BUILDING a portfolio of all the amazing websites I've built which will then lead to making the proper money....

And when you have a SKILL that not many people have, you can command for more money, especially if you have to experience too.

Closing Thoughts

Those are a few ideas to help you with side gigs to possibly make more money on the side.

But you have to understand that it's all about DELIVERING VALUE to other people. EACH of these ideas provides some kind of value.

The best way to get clients is by offering FREE work building a portfolio and then charging for any further work you do after.

The amount of money you make is based on the amount of value you deliver to the marketplace.

If you bring little to no value, and you're easily replaceable you wont make much money

If you bring a product or a service which provides a lot of value, you will make a lot of money.

If you want to get into the world of Coaching others, you HAVE TO BE confident that your work will be able to get people results... if you can't get people results, you will find yourself always loosing clients and customers.

Also, never forget.... the BEST side hustle is to do something you absolutely already enjoy doing or something you’re re already good at and then finding a way to monetise this....

(I've already made a few videos on this, go back and watch them)

Till next time.
