I think we just have different tolerance for spoiler. I don't think hinting at a character getting more screentime is bad, I wouldn't be upset if it happened to me. I remember the girls were "upset" that my comment seemed hostile towards them. They said how are we supposed to know. They didn't complain about spoilers so I think they might feel the same way. If they complained about being spoiled instead of just me being "upset" with them I'd respect that. I don't base my opinions on internet likes. Plenty of awful things are/were popular. And your first reply had 16 likes so if anything your going with conformity bias.

I think you're getting a little parasocial with digging through my comment history to take a joke out of context in defense of the reactors you constantly brown nose to. I don't know if they are going to love Palm, Shivering. Seems more like he/she stated a fact and you did the same with your 1st question. It's ironic that you call me rude and dismissive after telling the girls that they would take less vacations if people started to unsubscribe. It happened and they didn't change their schedules. Also you can tell from the meticulous management of their time that they are very busy. I dont like the steak is his cooking flawed? No i just dont like it. that's false mvri. They usually watch just 1 episode and even if they were few episodes forward it wouldn't be enough. People are not just telling them "I like this character, I don't like this character", they are telling them "this is the worse character, later in the arc bla bla bla, this is the best character" as soon as they appear for the 1st time. They are not doing that to share an opinion, they are doing that because they want to hear the same stuff they read and listen everywhere and they want to affect Lola and Milena's opinions. Characters in HxH have their own developments, if you tell them that a character that seems very bad at the start is actually the best character it is a huge spoiler and that's very wrong.

that's interesting, because during their discussions I sometimes hear them say how they read a comment about a certain character or event and how it has an impact on their own thoughts. But I hope you're right, I hope they are at least a few episodes ahead by the time they read some comments here. I think one can share their opinion without giving away too much about a character. There's lots of ways to do that actually. Personally , I always make sure to listen to the girls' commentary after an episode so that I don't accidentally spoil anything or confirm any of their theories.

You gotta keep in mind that by the time the girls post a reaction to an episode they're actually a few forward (from my understanding). And there is nothing wrong with stating and sharing our opinions about characters, especially if it's something as innocuous as "oh I like them/don't like them". Liking/despising a character is very subjective and it literally does not reveal anything about them (I've met people who actually idolize Hisoka).

Well, there you go, in most cases it takes significant screen time and a number of episodes before a character becomes a truly favorite character. However, most comments are calling them a favorite character on the episode in which they are revealed. So for me, if I were a first-time viewer, that would reveal too much. Timing is important here, if I say it's my favorite character after several episodes pass then it's perfectly fine, but not at the outset.

The only thing it implies is that the character has character development. Pretty much every character with any significant amount of screen time has been called out as a favorite character. Some of them are evil, some are good, some go back and forth. Just saying that's my favorite character reveals nothing.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm starting to think that comments at this point in the show should be kept to a minimum. It's just way too easy to let some critical detail slip out that would spoil or lessen their viewing experience. For me, even a comment like "this is my favorite character" is a spoiler, because it implies way more about that character than what's being revealed.

yeah theres a balance of expanding upon side characters and side stories and trying to keep the same pace as the rest of the story/season is going. i definitely agree this section does feel different than the rest of the arc and is slower in that way, but yea like i said more so just a problem with how he made it to fit into the story, and not on the characters it delves more into. could have done it a different way for sure to keep it a little more consistent but i dont think its as harsh as one could call a "flaw" as its definitely needed for contextualization of future events obviously.

Also remember that the chimera ant's can comunicate just with their minds, it's only that the ones that developed speak don't usually do it, but the Queen and the very first ants only communicate like that, not speaking, that's why Pitou was surprised that Pouf could hear what they were thinking. Btw I guess someone already comment this maybe, but Neferpitou's gender has never been revealed, I know the design looks girlish but Pitou even use "boku" which is a pronoun used by men. the girls said they felt the episode lasted few minutes btw. I'm curious to see if they'll notice this long time with training, with side characters and small details. Like boom Gon and Killua are magically stronger. These are Palm, Knuckle and Shoot, no need to know anything about them, they are side characters...very intriguing! That's really a flaw of Togashi...

Hi, I know you already have a long list of recommendations, but I just want to suggest reacting to "Oshi no Ko" someday. You will definitely love this show, it was one of this year new anime revelations. It has deep and psychologically complex characters, great animation, and excellent plot twist and storytelling. It shows also the dark side of social networks and the entertainment industry. The first season is just 11 episodes. The first episode is perhaps one of the best anime episodes ever, possibly on par with the first episode of "Attack on Titan" and I'm not exaggerating. And If you want to heal your soul and want to see something more lightheart and funny I also recommend Kaguya Sama Love is War from the same author. Maybe one of the best romantic comedy to watch. And I cannot wait the day you finally watch Osama Ranking and meet my king and best boy Bojji, that show also will steal your hearts.

Characters like Palm are confusing when you first experience them, but it all makes sense once you learn ONE simple truth: Japan is P3dophile Island Actual CP wasn't even illegal until 2014. Back when the author WROTE hisoka and Palm, it was LEGAL to own crap like that.

For me that’s a flaw and it feels like adding some unnecessary screen time to this arc. Again, for me that’s a flaw in his writing but for some I guess it’s enjoyable.

and taking time with side characters to flesh them out is exactly what youre supposed to do in writing a story... not a flaw in the slightest. the pace becoming a little slower during this time spent with those said side characters is probably more likely what doesnt resonate as much with you (or others as you mentioned) and thats fine, but its not a flaw to explore side characters.

And we got to the most annoying character in HunterXHunter… Palm. I know some people like her character but she is just way too much in my opinion. I feel this part of the arc could’ve been shorter regarding their training but if there is one flaw about the author (Togashi) is the fact he likes to take his time with side characters and small details to the point that some might find it tiresome..but that’s his writing.
