I mean, do you think Aang would ever stand by and watch his friend rip out a dude's heart and be like - "Oh you haven't heard? He's from a family of assassins." Aang is so against killing it's not even funny, dude wouldn't even comfortably associate with Gon let alone Killua or even Kurapika. Gon has a child-like innocence but he's kind-hearted to really only those he deems good.

Ethan J Soto

True true, for most of the show he is but I understand what you mean eventually it’s diff, aang’s the goat

JATLA

I'd argue that Gon's sense of good & evil isn't quite like Aang's. For the most part, yes, he is the sweetest most adorable character. To say he's as pure as the pacifist monk child, yeah I don't know about that.

ShadowfaxSTF

Ye don’t think he’s as good as aang?

JATLA

Doubt

Isaac

It's very rushed imo

Isaac

I never rewatch this show before episode 23. These earlier episodes are a nice intro though.

Norrin Radd

I know yous already love Gon, but yous are just going to adore him more and more as the show goes on, he is Aang level of just pure goodness😂

JATLA

Yeah, I'm definitely not saying they should watch the show stone faced, lol. I'm just bringing up how sometimes, just naturally by being a reaction channel, you try to do too much because you feel like you need to. "Blood lust" is not the most difficult to understand and these two have really good english. All I'm saying is for them to not overthink too much. I've seen people miss so many climax scenes in anime because they're caught up on some idea or theory that they formulated that they probably never would of thought of if they were sitting at home alone watching the show themselves. Or if you do I think it's best to leave it for after the episode. Idk. At the end of the day I want them to watch and react in the way they enjoy it the most. I'm just glad they're watching Hunter x Hunter and enjoying it.

Because of the golden boy Bukayo Saka

Why are we calling Hisoka Hisaka again?

Izaya

everyone in LM community collectively side eyeing each other and smirking right now as they try to understand Hisoka lmao 😂

Lightstrick

Hisoka literally embodies the joker card. unpredictable and a wild card

For me, this is the episode where the show goes from good to great

natan

Them thinking he "craved blood" is definitely a language barrier thing. They had the idea that blood lust could literally be lusting for blood like wanting to drink it which if English isn't your first language can easily be seen that way. Especially with the way Hisoka acts. And of course they are going to put their thoughts out there. What's the point of reacting if you literally just watch the show and don't talk about ideas or have any input? Why even make reactions at that point?

Taylor

When Hisoka killed the examiner he was grateful to him for dedicating a year of his life to Hisoka. I think Hisoka kills so easily and so much he needs it to be psychological to get joy from it anymore.

Shivering King Banana

The custody stuff from the '99 ep1 was canon. There's law :P

Isaac

I disagree that allowing the exam participants to team up is in any way unfair. Ability to make friends or to at least convince somebody to team up with you is a skill on its own. I imagine that when you do become a Hunter, having allies watching your back is a big advantage, so it's good that this stage of the exam includes that. If Ponzu has nobody to help her, then that's her fault for not teaming up with anyone. It's up to her to asses her chances and decide whether she wants to do it on her own or not. If she wanted to team up with somebody, but was unable to find allies, then that's also on her. TL;DR - the rules are the same for everyone, so if Ponzu doesn't have a team, then that's her fault.

Nikodem

I will simplify hisoka without spoiling. If you are familiar with goku from dragon ball ? Then just think of hisoka as a creepy goku that way he doesn’t confuse you too much. He enjoys a good fight and he spares those with potential until he deems them worthy to kill.

Justin Spencer

I love that you're gradually catching something off about HxH world lol, that what differentiate this show from other Shounens. I remember feeling the same way when I watched these first episodes in the 1999 version, which acentuate this sensation even more, maybe because of the animation style or something like that. Anyway, keep going, rewatching the show with you is being so much fun!

Max__

I've never heard anyone think Hisoka actually craved blood. That's a first for me, lol. Maybe it's that youtube reactor's problem of overthinking things or maybe I'm just not creative enough to come to such conclusions. Although, I'm kinda different in that I prefer to let the writer tell me the story rather than try and figure everything out myself. Regardless, this episode shows a lot of what's behind Hisoka's motives. He's continuously said that Gon has potential and he gets excited every time Gon impresses him. This is the second time he's let him live when he could of easily killed him. In this episode, he finally says that he's not going to kill Gon until he's grown to be worth killing because, like he mentioned, it would be a waste.

Ray

This is very good but the end is my favorite. It really turns everything on its head like only Togashi can.

Shivering King Banana

This is actually my fav episode of the hunter exam arc lol hisoka was such a badass to me lol

Amber

😂😂😂🤣 The thumbnail says it all L&M, welcome to the creepy Hisoka train. This is only just the beginning😂. But, seriously, HxH is great, stick with it till the end
