Added 2023-03-03 20:55:10 +0000 UTCby now you have to know our timing sucks. milena is going out if the country to visit her friend in 6 hours so we couldn’t find time to film aot because it comes out late for us and its long. we’ll film it when she gets back and post it on the 14th most likely. that also means no vinland saga next week because we caught up, and we prefilmed everything else so that should come out as usual. sorry for making you wait, please dont comment about what happened in aot, im about to avoid everything for the next 10 days xx

They released the review of Special Episode 1, so I assume that you mean AOT S4 special episode 2? Not as far as I'm aware, it's supposed to be out some time in the fall. I'd guess September or October, personally, but maybe November if they go past 1 hour. This one went over chapters 131 - 134 out of 139, so there's 5 remaining w/ ~15 minute per chapter so far. Thus, I would say 1 hr 15 min would be a good guess at the final episode length, and that might take until Nov given all of the stuff Mappa is animating beyond AOT. But, it's all speculation right now.

There are Ending Defenders (EDs) who defend Isayama's decisions for the finale over everything, no matter how critical some dialogues, plots and scenes were. Then there are Hopechads who are unhappy with the ending, and hope that the anime will have a new ending (AOE). Here you have everything from small changes (Melius Ending), medium changes (Usurper Ending) and big changes (No Requiem Ending, 3T Theory). On reddit I read the following recently (not a quote, roughly from my head): "Hopechads never give up, even if Part 2 adapts Chapter 139 as in the manga, there can still be a Part 3 at some point in the future that takes up the 3T Theory!" What I'm trying to say here is that there is a wide spectrum of people who cling to a new ending like nothing else. Then there are doomers who are also unhappy with the ending but don't believe in a new ending. Here, there are doomers who used to be hopechads but gave up, but also doomers who want to see the world burn and the anime onlies the same experience as them, pejoratively calling the story the greatest tragedy-comedy and laughing their heads off at sad scenes because they are completely contrary to the finale in their opinion. As much as I disagree with them, they give us the best memes. And then we have the Attack on Titan fandom meta, making fun of the fans and their positions. Back in the day, we still had the Floch-Stans who were completely off-the-wall, painted Jewish stars on the Marleys while being slaughtered by Eldians with Nazi symbolism, spreading racist shit, and generally just being disgusting people. Their Reddit sub was banned the other day, though, and all the users who were active there were also banned in other Attack on Titan Reddit subs because they didn't want them to now overrun the others. Japan doesn't care about spoilers as much. As for people saying it won't end because of how long it's taken, you're entitled to your opinion but manga readers have said since S4 was announced as the final season that there should be at least 5 seasons. We knew this situation would happen and from the manga content yes it will end in a few more episodes, so one extended part after this makes sense

2023-03-04 06:07:51 +0000 UTCI would suggest you to install 3 apps: "BlockTube" (enables you to block any video/comment/channel with a certain word (i.e. aot, snk, etc.)); "Unhook" and "Remove youtube suggestions" which enable you to block the front page of youtube, comments as well as video suggestions and research suggestions + avoid social media (no Instagram, no Twitter). That's what I do and it works fine! :) then in 10 days, you can just uninstall these apps haha. With these apps, you can watch YouTube without any fear of any spoiler (since any video/any channel/any comment with the words that you chose will have been blocked). Very extreme but trust me, it's a time saver and a life changer haha. As for Google, just avoid anything anime related.

I'd rather an episodic, week to week format over two "specials" separated by half a year's time. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, but I know how overworked the production team has been these past few years, so I've been more aware when we get sloppy animation (which will probably be fixed for the eventual Blu Ray release). I think a bit more waiting would have been beneficial for everyone.

I suspect the manga has a fake ending. Think about it, why risk one of the biggest franchises out there to be spoiled 1-2 years before the anime adaptation concludes? I think the remaining half of the final part of the last season will end with some teaser for a movie that will come out in 2024. This movie will be marketed as the real ending and it will not be preceded by a manga release. Don't look at it from a storytelling perspective, look at it through an economics lens. What would make them more money: A single episode released through the regular channels this winter? Or a full length movie released in cinemas worldwide after literally 3 years straight of building up hype?
