I’ve read the manga too, I think it’s a bit over hated to be honest I still have AOT in 1, but to be fair I haven’t finished Vinland saga so I need to wait to compare haha

It would be murder. Personally I think my top three are ranked as 1. Vinland Saga, 2. AOT, 3. FMAB. But that’s a pretty basic listing as all three of these shows are pretty much given to be in anyone’s top 5.

Yeah as an anime only I like Olmar’s inclusion in the story so far, his character archetype is usually very satisfying to follow if he ends up getting the storyline that I think he’s getting. Snake is already one of my favorite new characters this season just based on that introduction….also yes. He’s pretty hot 💁‍♀️

Fox and Snake's names are Kitsune and Hebi, which is just the animals in Japanese. They just translate it over in the subs instead of keeping the Japanese word. So you wont hear the voices say the same name like other characters.

not lola simping for snake hsakhk i guess he's drawn to be an attractive man, tbh i never realised until he was animated. i love snake too, he's one of my favourite characters of the ones introduced in this arc. olmar (ketil's son) as pathetic as it is is also a great character in my opinion. just there to show you how malleable teengers can be and how easy it could be for a man like fox to make a kid kill someone just because he's bored. i believe olmar is 16 in the manga but i could be wrong. he's actually described as an idiot by the author in the back of the manga where there's a list of the characters that appear on it. i was rereading the other day and it says thorifinn (empty), einar (thoughtless), ketl (owner, olmar (idiot). poor einar lol, thought they've made his story more serious and tragic in the anime, in the manga the backstory of his family is not shown and he's a more "comedic" character. i like both versions of him either way.

The way i see it with olmar is that he wants to become his own person and not be seen as the second version of his father. I could be wrong but it seems like a son trying to escape his fathers shadow, and then like you said hes also a teenage boy and its part of growing pains. I think we are going to see both olmar and thorfinn try to find their own identities this season

the pacing is slow as compared to season 1 but the story is so superior that so much is conveyed through lingering shots and silences ... episodes will get better each week ! excited to check out ur reactions 😬

i think we need to watch more animes to be able to make a list. all i can tell you is the number one spot is reserved for aot and fmab, i think everyone else will fight it off for the 2nd spot
