They had those engineers come in to Denver, it's a 7+ hour drive from Denver to ABQ, imagine sitting in a van with a hood on your head for 7 hours, then they had to drive back the same way!

It’s to contrast the scene of the end of the episode . The beginning shows the end of Sauls career where the ending scene is essentially the de facto beginning of Saul’s career. It works cuz it gives the ending scene a tragic sense of irony (Im going to be respected lawyer, I’m gonna have more clients, we’re gonna have a bigger office , everything’s gonna be better).

I don't think Saul was referring to Kim in the opening. Kim already knows who Francesca is.

To this day I still don't know what the purpose of that flash forward cold open was. It was just so weird.

While I do love Ological and yeah this video doesn't have any spoilers, the thumbnails and titles from suggested videos of his that might pop up would be potentially spoilery. I do think that every one should watch him but it might be better supplement material after finishing the series.

Better Call Saul is shot with a digital camera and Breaking Bad was not. When they shot the cold open for this episode they shot it with a non-digital camera so it had the same look and feel as breaking bad! Also, the creation of the lab is cool because it helps put into perspective just how much effort Walter destroyed lol
