Early Access - New trait, trait revamps, future plans

This latest project has definitely been the subject of feature creep. This started as me going into the files to make sure all the icons either used base game assets or my custom assets so that users without certain packs wouldn't end up with those "missing icon" llamas, but I found myself disgusted with some of the old code being in the "New Emotional Traits" pack. I took the opportunity to redo the systems being used in the Restless and Stoic traits, as well as add a new trait, Coward. All of this necessitated the use of a new script file, so I looked into other things that could utilize that. I fleshed out a lot of the other traits in that pack, adding new socials, new self interactions, new autonomy, and new whimsets. I also added Holiday Tradition preferences to all my traits, including those in the Hobby and Spa Day packs, and including custom Holiday Traditions if those are installed. More details below:

New Trait - Coward

• Emotional Trait
• Conflicts with Hot-headed, Adventurous, and Calm
• Less likely to get Angry, more likely to get Scared
• Sims get Scared moodlets with strength between 1 and 3 randomly
• Sims will get Scared of the dark (nighttime and not near a lamp)
• Sims will get Scared when around the Grim Reaper, criminals (if not a criminal themselves), occult Sims (if not the same occult type), Evil Sims (if not Evil themselves), and Possessed Sims
• Sims will get Scared moodlets when doing things which are dangerous
• Sims will get a Scared moodlet when watching a horror movie
• Sims will not be able to start fights
• Sims will not be able to start seances, but can participate in them with others
• When encountering something which scares them, Sims will gasp and occasionally will run away, faint, or pee their pants
• Other Sims may laugh at their fear reactions depending on their traits
• Immune to Death by Terror if that mod is installed
• Ignores the following Holiday Traditions: Fighting, Fire, Holiday Gnomes, Polar Bear Plunge, Spooky Spirit, Trick or Treat, Wear Costumes, Carve Pumpkins, Doing LSD, Smoking Weed

• Arrogant Sims now have the Brag About Self, and Brag About Everything friendly socials

NOTICE and Installation

To install the mod, open the zip folder and extract the files into your Mods folder on in one subfolder in that directory. Multiple subfolders will disrupt the game's ability to read the script file. It's best practice to keep all the package files and script files from a single mod in the same folder. You MUST keep the main package file and ts4script file, but you can delete any of the traits that you do not wish to use.

ATTENTION: I have renamed all of the files, so please DO NOT rely on overwriting the files, or else you will end up with two versions of the same traits which will cause conflicts. Please DELETE all old versions of the files before installing the new version.

Note to Translators

All traits have at least one new string to translate, to match how Maxis describes the reason for whims and holiday tradition preferences showing up. Some traits with new interactions and buffs have a few more (Restless, Insecure, Daydreamer, Oblivious, Stoic). Obviously, the new Coward trait has an entirely new set of strings. All string tables are now kept in the main file instead of the individual trait files to make it easier to add translations to the mod.

Short-term Future Plans

The new versions of these mods will stay on Early Access for a couple weeks as a benefit to you and to make sure there's no big issues. There's still more I want to add on a few of these traits, but I wanted to get what work is completed out now without waiting for me to finish the rest. Additionally, I've started working on two more Hobby traits: Angler, for Sims who love to go fishing, and Truthseeker, for Sims who love to do research and learn more about occult Sims, similar to Knowledge Sims in The Sims 2. 

I also have an update in progress for Career Overhaul Suite, which includes a new Maid active career, new promotion requirements for the Entertainment and Athletic careers asking for your Sims to impress talent scouts and win games, new career tones to support those goals, Online University courses to help your Sims earn certain degrees for promotions without completely upending their schedule, and other various tweaks and fixes.
