Jaycee says Oh right. I can't do fdm supports as thats not in my wheelhouse. Usually minis are printed resin, fdm can do it, but its not ideal. I could do resin supports if you wanted me to, but it always takes me forever and it's incredibly boring. So I wouldn't be inclined to do it for free, especially as most people end up using their own supports anyway.

2024-09-11 19:04:53 +0000 UTCMy bad. When you are printing miniatures they will need support structures to make the print work. An FDM-Printer will build material up from the bottom to the top by extruding the material via a nozzle (so it can´t print parts that are "floating" in the air) A Resin-Printer will dive their print plate into the gooey resin and uv-light will cure the miniatures. Then it pulls the print plate up and down again.. layer after layer (like a cake) and needs different supports because of the way it handles the stl files. I am looking forward to the minis that will be on offer! The price will be eye watering though...
