The Princess and Her Pussy (QUEST)

A non-degen, wholesome quest. No lewding of princesses! Hope you'll find this fun in spite of that :) Will try to start out a little slower, to give time for patrons to wake up to this, if they are interested.

1: Pussy on the road

“Don’t you ever relax?” the cute young girl named June, with green hair and an adorable smile asked her knight in shining armor who sat opposite of her, tapping his foot repeatedly against the carriage floor.

“I cannot possibly relax, my princess,” the young knight with spiky red hair answered, keeping his arms crossed, and continuing to tap his foot nervously. His shiny sword with a golden hilt remained at his side at all times. “We are too close to goblin territories. This whole affair stinks.”

“Sir Rigardo, enough of this foolishness,” a tall, scrawny man that sat next to the princess dismissed the knight’s concerns. “It is perfectly natural for the princess to be tasked with checking on how the lords perform their duties in the outer provinces.”

The scrawny man had long, sickly-blonde hair, a thin, graying goatee, and visible dark bags under his eyes that stood out even more from the man’s ash-like skin tone. It was hard for anyone to believe he wasn’t even forty years old. He dressed in form-fitting, all-black attire which added to the effect of a corpse-yet walking.

“Then lord Bermont should go himself!” Rigardo spat out the name of the bloated lord with spite. “Lord Crasby, there is absolutely no reason to put a member of the royal family in danger, unless someone wants her to be in danger.”

“Oh, please Rigardo,” June chuckled. “You’ve spent too much time in the capital. I’m eighth in the line to the throne. Even my younger brother has more influence in the court than I. I am so inconsequential in their games, no one would even waste time thinking about me.”

“You undersell yourself, princess,” Rigardo said. “The common people like you, unlike many of your brothers and sisters. For example, take those two who-…wholesome twins, Samantha and Tamantha, half the kingdom wishes to see their heads on spikes!”

“And the other half is grateful for the order they’ve restored,” the princess reminded her knight. “I will not have you speak ill of my dear brothers and sisters!”

“My apologies,” Rigardo said and closed his eyes. It was obvious his apology was insincere.

The princess sighed and looked through the window of the carriage to the green meadows. It was criminal to ride in a carriage on such a bright, sunny summer day! June wished she could just hop out of this shaking carriage and run through the grass fields.

“Ah! STOP! STOP THE CARRIAGE!” June shouted.

“W-what’s wrong!?” Rigardo reached for his sword.

The coachman hadn’t even reigned in the horses when June already opened the door and jumped out of the moving carriage. —

“Princess! Wait!” Rigardo jumped after her.

June leaped onto the road and grabbed something off the road mere moments before the following carriage’s wheels could roll over it. The horses neighed as the follower’s carriage's coachman reigned them in for a sudden stop.

“You almost drove the princess over, you imbecile!” Rigardo shouted at the coachman as he ran past him to the princess that tumbled off the road, into the field.

“I-I, she just jumped—” the coachman tried to explain, sweating profusely, but Rigardo didn’t even slow down to listen to the man’s excuses. He needed to make sure June was alive. To his relief, he saw her move and sit down in the field.

“What were you thinking!?” Rigardo raised his voice.

“I just suddenly saw… It’s barely alive!” June raised her hands and, with tears in her eyes, showed Rigardo what she jumped for—a small, barely alive pussycat.
