Progress Update on The Cursed Trial
Added 2024-12-28 20:20:50 +0000 UTCThis month, I've continued working on the last chapter in-game, adding choices and polishing the content that exists so far. There was a complicated part near the end where something wasn't making sense, so I sorted that out. I'm still mainly working on the "Kaisar route." I will still have to see how the other routes will differ and how much they will intersect with this one.
There are some choices I've added as a "to do" and am still unsure about. For example, it might make sense for the main character to hide and wait it out until the end of the seventh day, but I can't write a full-length chapter around that choice. She'd just wait and then... it's over?
Anyway, we had a lot of snow and our internet connection was damaged. We are still waiting to get it fixed, so I haven't been online much. That hasn't stopped me from working on the game, though.

I’ve actually played a few games that had Easter Eggs like that. I don’t know how coding works in a visual novel, but to add another layer, you could give that option a couple different endings. The three ending easter egg where in one you are fine and get out to live your life, one ran ending where he was the winner, and one Kaisar ending where he won. I am a sucker for stories that let you explore bad endings too.
