JAN SVANKMAJER - DIMENSIONS OF DIALOGUE

I love Svankmajer's aesthetic in general & his weirdness really shines in these two particularly. Svankmajer's FAUST is one of my all-time favorite movies because it uses all of Svankmajer's tricks in total perfection to tell a classic story. Dimensions of Dialogue is great because it shows off Svankmajer's genius in a succinct way & also highlights his messy & gross aesthetic perfectly. I am not usually too grossed out by people, people eating & food in general, but Svankmajer captures all of this in a manner that really grosses me out!
