video: Mass Effect Jack cowgirl (extended fov)
Added 2017-08-01 17:06:48 +0000 UTCAnd here comes Jack from Mass Effect. I made some minor changes to the animation, positioned the camera a bit closer and encoded the video for a bigger fov to the top and bottom but a bit smaller fov to the sides.

Added a 180° version in a separate post. Thanks for the info, I’m always happy to get feedback about compatibility on other devices, as I can only test the videos on my Note4 and Oculus Rift. Have you tried another video player yet? Sometimes it’s the software that can’t handle the hardware decoders on the device properly. For example, the video player VLC on my PC isn’t able to playback some higher resolution or HEVC encoded VR videos, but when I open the same videos with the DeoVR video player, they all run smoothly.

2017-08-02 16:49:58 +0000 UTCAs an I-phone user I had trouble with this video. Is it possible to get a 1080 version? I believe i-phone users max out at 2160x1080 in 180 side-by-side format if you want 3D stereoscopic, and the best picture quality. I don't think the i-phones can go higher resolution than that. It is the vertical video resolution that is the big limit, aka 1080. I love the Miranda version of this video, so just having a character swap out for Jack is fine with me if you don't want to mess with settings like cropping the edges again.
