[DEVBLOG#32] VCE-Fishing infographics
Added 2019-11-07 12:12:43 +0000 UTCHello everyone and welcome to today's mod development diary.
A lot of work is happening in the background, between our new fishing mod and a Genetic Rim retexture so many of you wanted. Today we will focus on the first of the fishing mod infographics:

This very important chart allows you to see what fish you have a chance to catch is what biome. Warm representing the Temperate areas as well as the Tropical areas of the planet, Hot representing Arid shrublands and Deserts, whilst Cold representing the Tundras, Boreal forests, Ice sheets etc.
Depending on the location of your fishing zone (ocean water tiles or flowing river/lake tiles) you also have a chance of catching different fish.
To incentive setting up your base near the coast, we made sure that ocean fishing zones provide you not only with bigger, more nutritious fish, but also produce fish faster than river zones.
Thanks everyone, and stay tuned for more information about the fish in the future!

Oh I hope it will. We worked really hard to have it as balanced as vanilla crop growing, so we will see :)

2019-11-07 15:01:57 +0000 UTCOne more question, or two: how will fishing actually work? Also will I be able to make aquacultures inside my base that?
2019-11-07 15:01:00 +0000 UTCMost possibly, yes!

2019-11-07 14:57:28 +0000 UTCWill your upcoming Mechanoids mod allow for automated fishing?
2019-11-07 14:57:00 +0000 UTCCool, my current colony is surrounded by marshy waters, but I do have a river and a real lake nearby as well, so I'm of course eagerly awaiting a good fishing mod.
2019-11-07 13:28:55 +0000 UTCYes they do!
