[RELEASE] Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Production

Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Production module, is an ideal mod to fill that late game hole in production. Once you set up your vanilla workstations with tool cabinets scattered everywhere, you essentially got as far as you possibly can. This carefully designed, vanilla-fitting mod adds a new layer to workstation layout, hopefully allowing players to create manufacturing-designated rooms instead of one massive room with all the workbenches.

This mod introduces 6 new linkables, adding powerful work speed boosts but only linking to the particular type of a table. They stack with tool cabinets!

New, electric version of workbenches that were previously only available as manual stations - stone cutting, butchering and drug production now upgraded with the power of electricity.

Component assembly, which is a small version of a fabrication bench that allows only for components to be crafted. A fueled smelter, for early game colonies that have stockpiles of metal slags and no research to smelt them - now accessible with smithing research.

Most importantly, a new Manufacturing research unlocking several new, massive workbenches. Whilst they take up enough space to deserve their own dedicated crafting room, they provide 1.5x work speed bonus! In addition to that, Large Stove allows you to cook meals in bulk!

Thanks to clever coding, these workbenches will work with modded recipes, all of them in fact, as long as you load this mod as low in the mod order as possible!

Signed on for the patreon due to the production mod too! I have to agree with the reasonable production patch though, making 1 component at a time is annoying when you can chew through dozens or even hundreds in short periods of time.

Sure thing. The essential point is to have something like that: 1 component in vanilla is, iirc, 15 steel and 86 sec of work. So making 100 of them could be 1500 steel and, let's say, 4000 work or something like that. I think it's still a ridicolous amount of time for damn components, especially after you guys added all those wonderful furniture parts that require components, and I'd probably still use the Reasonable Components mod but it might be a very good addition for those that don't use this mod.

Hmm I will look into it. I initially created the Assembly bench as a separate bench for just components creation as I prefer to have the big fabrication bench just do to armor and weapons, and I needed a smaller table just for components. It's not really meant for mass production either - it's too small to be able to produce a lot of components efficiently. It's also significantly cheaper than a big fabrication bench.

I was just making sure if you don't prefer Steam for that. But fine, it actually became only one thing since I guessed that you won't make a RBSE patch because there's really no reason to do so. Or maybe you're planning in some far future to make your own bionic VE mod. Anyways, it's about the Assembly Bench. I suppose it's a structure you make if you want to mass produce components. And there's a mod Reasonable Components that essentialy does that but, in my opinion, the work times in that mod are too short. I do not really like the Vanillla ones too, they feel way too long, but, what I want to say is that would be a great addition to VFE - P module to have bulk recipes on components that scale somehow with the vanilla work time for components. And, if not that, the question would be, can I somehow make the bulk components recipes appear in the Assembly Bench through some file editing? Or would that be rather complicated programming?

Ask away, wherever you want. Can be here :)

Ah, one more thing, am I allowed to ask questions here or you'd rather not want me to do that? Because I'd have two regarding two other mods that have something in common with yours newly added stuff.

Thanks!

This literally forced me to become a Patron. What you're doing is absolutely awesome. Oh, and one thing. There's a small bug with the Large Stove (at least I assume so) shouldn't be capitilizng from Tool Cabinet (since the normal one doesn't). Also, in the Large Stove's description there's some /n/n, might be a typo or something.
