SuperButch at Geek Girl Con!
Added 2018-10-31 10:35:14 +0000 UTCHi, folks! Barry here. I just wanted to share a couple of photos from Geek Girl Con with you. Above you can see me and Becky at our table, with the three (3!) issues of SuperButch. (this is the first time we've had issue three on sale).
It's so amazing to be seated at a table and to have SuperButch readers come up to us to let us know how much they've enjoyed the comic. Or readers who picked up issue one from us at Geek Girl Con last year, and are excited to learn that there are two new issues since then.
And because this is a comic book convention, some of the folks buying comics from us were rather... picturesque. Here's one of our customers, dressed as Harley Quinn! (For those of you who don't know, Harley Quinn is a DC comics villain who started out as the Joker's girlfriend/sidekick, but has become a hugely popular character in her own right).
And finally, here's a sketch Becky did after the con, showing the two of us hanging out in our airbnb after an exhausting day at the convention. I was there, and I can attest to the accuracy of Becky's depiction. :-p
Becky showed me the new SuperButch page earlier today - the inks are totally done, so she just has to paint in the tones. (Oh, and come to think of it, I have to draw the word balloons). So we should be able to post that page for you soon. One panel in particular, which I have christened "the glower panel," is my favorite thing on this page, and I can't wait for y'all to see it too.
