What to expect from Teamcraft 7.3

 

Recently, Teamcraft has a lot of cool features suggestions that I decided to work hard on, because I think they can really be helpful, and cool to have ! The goal of this post is to present these features to you and hopefully hype you :D  

The metrics system

The first feature I implemented has been prepared since a couple of months, it's currently used in a "weaker" form to make TC autofill your log tracking when you're gathering/crafting items. This feature will capture data regarding items and currencies, obtentions and spendings. This data will be saved locally, in a folder that you can choose inside the settings.  With all this data, you'll be able to see important metrics about your gameplay, like Gil obtained, by source, or # of items gathered, # of gil spent teleporting, and more...  This feature is disabled by default, you have to enable it inside the settings.

The item search overlay


Are you tired of having to ask someone to link an item so you can right click on it and search for it in your inventories using the in-game command? Because you wouldn't be the only one :D.

The inventory search overlay is here to help you find an item by name, and it will show the amount you have inside your inventories, and marketboard information if the item can be sold. It will also show all known sources, so you can easily find the item ingame. And finally, a button to open its database page inside the main desktop window.


The new feature for gathering lists: Include final items in main layout

This is a feature that has been discussed several times, in order to find the best solution to the original problem. The original problem is that in Teamcraft, lists are composed of two main arrays, one contains the items you're adding to the list manually (final items) and the other is for the items Teamcraft adds for you, based on the final items (ingredients).

Since the beginning of Teamcraft, you can customize your layout and the way items are displayed, this is very convenient for a lot of cool features, including zone breakdown, optimized path computing, tiers system, etc

However, the issue is that when you're adding items that can be gethered as final items, they aren't included in the main layout, meaning that, for instance, if it can be gathered near costa del sol, you won't see it with the other costa del sol items inside your list, just because it's a final item, not an ingredient.

With 7.3, you'll be able to enable an option inside layout configuration that includes final items inside the main layout, allowing you to optimize your gathering even more, especially when working on GC deliveries or other things that require both recipes and gatherable items.
