As some of you already know, next release will most likely be 5.0, but what will it contain to be such a big thing? Why 5.0?
As you might know, I'm a student (and I'll graduate soon yay) and I'm learning new things, new way of doing things, everyday. During the past year (Teamcraft is one year old soon :D) I've added a ton of features to Teamcraft, helping people more and more, to achieve a nice one stop shop for crafters in ffxiv.
Learning new things also means that you start to see what you made with a poor implementation, what you could've done better. Ans there's a lot of these in Teamcraft.
First of all, memory management is a complete mess at the moment, it's okay but it could be soooo much better. Same for network usage.
Also, material design wasn't the best choice for a design library, instead I'll go with ant design, a nice responsive and compact design library that ensures maximum informations display with minimum space used, really interesting for pages like list details, where you have a lot of things to show.
As I'm working on thesis, 5.0 wont really start before I graduate, which is mid-september.
If you, my patreon supporters, want to have access to a preview of 5.0, I'll setup a new server to show you what's going on, connected with CI system so you always see the latest changes.
for now, here's is a nice gif of the responsive menubar :)
