Tomoe and Mio together are like Shion, the demiplane is like Tempest, and the dwarves are like the dwarves in Tempest. Plus more. But when you said that they always called Makoto by his full name, they were only calling him by a title, Young Master (waka-sama). I usually hear that to refer to the heir, but here, it's just because he's young, I guess.
