People generally are summoned or just end up there (not summoned). Rimuru being reincarnated there from another world is an outlier.

I would just like to add that in the previous episode Rimuru told his friends basically what was going to be in the message, though I find myself kinda cringing with how careless Rimuru was concerning its contents. Did he seriously think that just because this world isn't as "advanced" as the world he came from that tampering with his message wouldn't be an issue. especially since it wasn't that long since Clayman had accused him of faking the images he'd shown at Walpurgis? Then again Rimuru was rather dismissive of everything that Clayman was saying, wanting to throw hands with him shortly after meeting him in person, so I can't entirely blame him of not retaining that one little tidbit and taking precautions based on it (I don't think that even Raphael thought to warn Rimuru on that matter.)

Ahhh that is a very good point! How did they know these things!? Got me thinking about that one now!

Guys, guys, guys... *sigh* ... other reactors are weak. 😂 Seriously, the fact that you both recognize that this show requires world building speaks to how dedicated of reactors you are! Also it lightens my soul knowing you aren't just gonna drop this show because there isn't the same fight for 20 episodes straight. This season is very much like Season 1, and is clearly split into 2 arcs. The first arc is obviously heavy warmongering and battle intense. The second arc is closer to the start of Season 1, with Tempest building itself up and stepping out into the world. For as much as people love to complain about the 'boring' bits they set the stage for what's happening in the background and what's about to hit you in the face next season. Which brings me back to the last episode... things are NOT calm. A LOT is happening. The happy-go-lucky is part of the tension. As viewers we KNOW that there is something happening, that there are a shit ton of loose threads, and our minds are screaming the entire time. This anime is the master of spygame and war preparation. _ Yes John, you are correct, Rimuru is special. Thus far in the story Rimuru is the only person we know of to have reincarnated from another world entirely. Otherworlders there either get summoned or basically fall through a crack in the dimensions. They do have reincarnation there, but no one else so far is known to have done what Rimuru has. _ Yeah, don't you just love that the elite knights of a violent holy order are fighting amongst themselves AND some of them are implying that the god they worship is wrong? Doesn't that just instill confidence in organization? Hinata takes her orders directly from Luminus, and relates them to the rest of the order. Am the only one who sees some flaws in that system? Everytime I see this episode I can't help but think that Luminus is just as careless as Milim. She has nations that worship her and an entire religion that spreads across them, but she doesn't take responsibility enough to check in now and again to reenforce her will and hold on them. She loves the worship, but then shirks the duty that comes with it as beneath her notice. It's no wonder that her forces are giving contradicting orders and opinions! _ Oh, those guys... yes, I do believe you have their assessment spot on. Dicks. Just a load of dicks. I'm not sure they COULD have drawn them any clearer without changing the rating for this anime. 😆 _ JOHN!!! Have you learned nothing!?! Just wishing willy nilly for the rampaging version of Veldora! It's like you enjoy summoning Murphy's Law. 🫥 _ Great picking up that the message was sketchy as hell. Rimuru bringing smoke when there isn't call for any isn't traditionally his way. The orb was only secure as far as Tempest, outside of that Reyhiem could have been tricked quite easily. _ You know shit is going sideways when Diablo is stone faced. His kicked puppy look is wildly disconcerting when you remember he's a flippin Primordial Demon that could sink continents if he felt the need. 😑 _ So yeah, once again SPYS! SPYS EVERYWHERE! Just making everything tense for the rest of us. 😮‍💨 Oh well, guess there wouldn't be much of a show for you to react to if they weren't around. As always AWESOME reaction! Love that you two are getting enthralled with the story. Excited to see what's next 🩷💛🩵

Plots within plots, mysteries shrouding enigmas, careful where you step you're enter the Swamps of Conspiracy. Take nothing at face value everyone has some motive for their actions but not always what they say they are here to do. Yeah, the Three Dickheads are as suss as can be, how did they know to show up just then and how did they know about the orb? 4 D chess is coming into play, take notes.

There are multiple ways that people ended up in this world from another. Being summoned is being intentionally dragged there by others performing the summoning magic. Shizu, the kids, the 3 pricks who attacked Tempest. They were all summoned and meant to serve the summoners. People like Yuuki and Hinata, just kinda ended up there. Not summoned by anyone just kinda stepped through the veil. And reincarnated people, is rare but has happened before, though Rimuru seemed to be the only to become a monster on being reincarnated

PotterBrony

That might be true, that the unheard of part is being reincarnated as a monster, between worlds (I think it happens occasionally within the world). But we don't know of other reincarnators from another world at all at this time, and people believe there aren't any.

Ok. Great reaction! I can tell you are taking this seriously, which warms my Slime-fan heart. There’s a lot here, from lore to plot. On the lore, I may not be 100% correct on everything, but I did a lot of research, and I think I understand the lore mostly. The people on each side of the table are all The Ten Great Saints. However, on one side were the Paladins, and the other the Rooks. They all have alternative translations you will see out there, they even change within the story. The Paladins are aka Holy Knights. The Rooks are aka Crusaders. The Seven Luminaries are aka Seven Days Clergy. Last season it was made clear that Hinata holds two titles. Those titles are reflected by the two groups sitting on opposite sides of the table. The Master Rooks on one side (3), and the Paladins on the other (6). The Rooks are under the Lubelius, while the Paladins are under the Church. There is a difference in culture, attitude, and loyalties between the two factions. The Paladins are personally loyal to Hinata. She developed them into a much more disciplined group than prior to her taking command. It's hard to tell with the fast pace of the conversation, but it was a bit obvious who was being more disrespectful. One of the several differences between the translations I have seen: in the one you saw, Hinata said "they" are looking down on me; in the other, it was "she" is looking down on me. Most of them are still loyal to Luminus, though. Saare used to be the leader until Hinata beat him, so he's a little upset about that, but otherwise he puts their common mission first. Btw, these 9 don’t know who Luminus is. There are two main entities that are intertwined. The Western Church is one, and Lubelius is the other. They have separate hierarchies. Louis, sitting behind the curtain, observing, is the Emperor of Lubelius. It is common in East Asia to have high-ranking people be separated or hidden from others by a curtain. Hinata has a role in both the Church and Lubelius, as the leader of both the Holy Knights (Paladins) and the Crusaders (Rooks). Each of those sitting at the table are leaders of their own troops of Knights or Crusaders. The Ten Great Saints are examples of a class of humans known as Enlightened. They are the human counterparts of the Demon Lord seed or class. They too can become awakened. They spoke about Guy, Milim, and probably Rimuru are awakened. They base that on the lore they have (see below). These may not be the only awakened Demon Lords, but those are the ones they have legends about, or evidence. As for Enlightened, this category includes others not in the Ten Great Saints, or even affiliated with the Church at all. Many Summoned are also Enlightened. To answer your question about what otherworlders exist, there are those reincarnated from another world (we do know that you can also be reincarnated within the world as well). There are the Summoned. Then there is a third class of Otherworlder: those that show up spontaneously without being reincarnated or Summoned. We know of at least two: Hinata and Yuuki. So they are not controlled by anyone. Many have the same strengths as Summoned. But many are just ordinary and have no special, or very little, special power. We learned in Season 1, that those transferred to this world do have their bodies rebuilt; this world is semi-physical, while the old world was purely physical. Their bodies cannot withstand the new world as they were. It is theorized that it may be that people can’t return to the old world because their bodies are incompatible. Rimuru is the only known reincarnator from another world. Saints can be awakened as well. Thus they become True Saints. It is analogous to Demon Lords, but the process and progression of the evolution is different. Humans, when overcoming a grueling task or training sometimes evolve, and they become longer-lived, a semi-spiritual being, and, of course, much stronger. For True Saints, this might take centuries to come to fruition. This, according to some, is the "right" way to evolve. The Seven Luminaries "surpass... the realm of Enlightened", and are supposed to train Heroes. The trial Hinata underwent that Luminus directed her to do is a trial meant to select Heroes. Hinata thought she had nothing to learn from them afterwards (she copied their Skills). The Ten Great Saints have all contracted with Spirits. This might be what separates Saints from simply Enlightened, I am not sure. There are others who use spirits, who have nothing to do with the church. They have another name, and that may even be separate from those who use spells with different attributes or elements like fire, etc. It is hard to figure out, for several reasons. If you want to know who among the Ten Saints may be awakened, I can tell you that. It might come up later, I forget if and when this info is presented. I have been trying to figure out for a long time now exactly what constitutes a Hero in the formal sense. But I can tell you now some people get different titles just because people take to calling them something. Now more about Demon Lords. In mythology, it is known that Guy and Milim went on rampages. Rimuru has done that too. Awakening "happens when a potential Demon Lord... engineers massive destruction, taking in the souls of the dead. Evolution beyond imagination would result." Evolution to true demon lords "could take place across several levels. It left some demon lords as powerful as dragons, and Luminus wondered if Guy and Milim had evolved beyond that. Even Luminus…had no chance against them." Luminus believed that Rimuru is still in the midst of awakening. I have also tried to figure out which Demon Lords are awakened, btw, or even seeds. (If you want to know who I think they are at this time, let me know.) This is a separate issue from whether any or all of them have Ultimate Skills. It could be argued that an Ultimate Skill is just as powerful an attribute as whether or not one is awakened, that is, if one has an Ultimate Skill, it makes one’s awakening status relatively unimportant. This episode, I am pretty sure, represents a third translation of the dialog that I’ve seen about some ambiguous lines. As for some differences in translations, some of which make the current episode incorrect in places, here they are. Also I will point out a few differences from the source material. Luminus couldn't fight Veldora, and she protected the humans from him. She was nicer about referring to humans as a food source. The tale told to Hinata about Rimuru by the merchant was even worse--there were monsters taking human forms. The report that the effect of Veldora's return was actually zero: in the other translation it was that it could be zero. One report said that there was nothing less than a civil war brewing in Falmuth; the other translation said, nothing more than a civil war. One person said they were recruiting civilians for the civil war, the other version said they were being conscripted. There were a couple of other things, and sometimes it was that only the tone was different. A few loose ends: I think Rimuru told Hinata himself that he had reincarnated. Hinata heard about Rimuru in Episode 24.9 between Seasons 1 and 2. Those mentioned who are supporting King Edward: the Council of the West, the Guild top brass, and the Eastern merchants. The Skill responsible for Rimuru’s taking of souls during the battle with Falmuth was called Merciless.

Cerulean Spectre

I'm so glad you guys understand the show and giving it patience.. all the meetings are just story building, it takes a bit but if you pay attention to everything, when the true hype happens, it will be more satisfying because you'll understand the situation and reasons for things going down

Chandler Plays

Shizu is the girl that hinata looked up to and Shizu use to have Ifrit

Cerulean Spectre

seems like they are the scheming type of people that the plotting behind the scenes always

Cerulean Spectre

they probably stole the orb before hinata saw it and saw the message they edit it with magic and thats how they knew my guess

Cerulean Spectre

great reaction

Cerulean Spectre

(no spoil in there I believe it was either said by Veldora in the first episode or skipped from original material) To precise things on reincarnation vs summoning. Reincarnation is not unheard of but its way way rarer than being isekaied by summoning or a dimension rift. What's unheard of is being reincarnated as a monster
