I don't think it's much of a spoiler to say that the contract between Diablo and Veldora was basically something (to be revealed later) in exchange for information about what happened at Walpurgis. Demons use contracts for everything. I think I said before that demons don't do anything for free. Some contracts are long, some short. The word contract is a bit misleading as it implies a lot of formality, but it does also imply how serious demons are about them. I also said previously that the reason the demon lords had ended up with the old name is because they took so long to come up with a name for themselves, that the humans started on their own to call them the Ten Great Demon Lords, and unfortunately, the name stuck. If you watched this, did you ever watch Veldora’s Journal 2? Of all the recap episodes, I think that has the most original information. There could be only 10 Demon lords, so Rimuru had to replace someone by proving his superiority. I personally don't think Stampede is a real thing. I think Frey made it up to get Clayman to stop hitting Milim. Diablo hinted that Rimuru knew very well that Veldora would get to the missing volume before he returned. I don't know if it was a prank or a punishment, but Rimuru disguised another manga as the last volume in the series Veldora was reading. The Words of the World responded to Clayman's strong desire to gain power. I think that Clayman having been “backed into a corner” contributed to this.

The problem season 1 had was that there was so many of them because the time between seasons was close to 3 years. 😅 Understandable since they were trying to keep viewers interest, but really hard for new watchers binging. 😆 🩷💛🩵
