The level of cognitive dissonance that I -- pardon the pun -- witness every time I hang out with my JW sister (actual sister), and her JW husband and her JW daughters and their JW friends is incredible. We can never discuss anything about their beliefs because they know I would savagely rip them apart with epic levels of sarcasm. It was quite bizarre to sit and watch the Academy Awards with them tonight, as they chatted and acted like any other other group of star-struck movie-goers. Just so long as no one inappropriately shouts "Armageddon!" right in the middle of Lady Gaga... :-)
