I think time flows the same. If the firebombing of Tokyo began March 1945, and the webnovel first appeared in 2013, and she was 8 or 10 at the time of the transfer, that's maybe 76-78 years total? If nothing artificially extended her life in this world, then that would be her age. That still makes 50 years ago her late 20's. Oh, when Ifrit went into Shizu, that was supposed to heal her burns. And. The answer to your questions is a bit spoiler-y. But I can say, once you're in that world, no, you can't go back, according to current knowledge in the world, except if there exists people who have access to secret knowledge, which can happen on various topics. There is hard evidence to support that you can't send someone back, while there is only speculation that you might be able to. Ifrit is also a summoned being in a different way from Shizu, so are you asking if Shizu goes back or Ifrit goes back if the Summoner dies? Well, I already said that Shizu couldn't go back for the reasons stated above, but I don't know what would or would've happened to a spirit, or Ifrit in particular. The interaction between Shizu and Ifrit is unusual, so what is normally true might not apply here. I can say more on this next ep.

If you look back at the episode he “eat” the dragon. His computer said it they were analyzing the prison he is at to free him. That takes time.

just a note, a few characters in the intro don't even show up in this season. most do but there are some that are just there for hype. also just wait for next episode most questions about shizu will be answered.

She has to be at least 70 if not 80? Considering i don't think they told us the year Rimurus human self died. And honestly we don't know if time flows the same or one world faster than the other🤔 I think Shizu retired early from adventuring, as i doubt Ifrit gives her any form of immortality or longevity. (Not that any of that was mentioned, but just my theory)

Remember Shizu is technically an old lady, looks misleading as we learned this episode. I won't do any back story, as we will learn about it, but we will learn more on her and Ifrit, and a question of yours will be answered about Rimuru as well with that. Hope you don't wait too long to watch. As its better for this part to not be a long wait. At least I feel this episode and the next are better back to back.

How old can a human get in this world? Shizu retired as a hero 50 years ago, how old was she then? Can Rimuru get heartburn if Ifrit and Veldora battle inside of him? Will these and other questions be answered in the next episode? How long will Chris and John wait to find out?
