Adding it to the list right now. That is wild about the trench guns. No wonder they were complaining. Ain't no tellin how much damage they caused with them things. In closer quarters like that gah!

The troops were using the Winchester Model 1897 with the 14 inch Enfield bayonet, The '97 would slam fire, that is after the first shot if you kept the trigger pulled back the shotgun would fire every time the shotgun was pumped, loaded with buckshot it indeed was a trench clearer so it got named the trench gun. Imagine how fast those 18-19 year old farm boys could pump a shotgun they grew up hunting with. 16:00 In our WW2 France when losing declared Paris an open city, withdrawing all of her troops to spare the city of street fighting and damage to the Eiffel Tower and the museums.
