A WORLD WITHOUT CURSED SPIRITS | JUJUTSU KAISEN SEASON 2 EP.5 (FIRST TIME REACTION)

Almost dying in the battle with Toji made Gojo see the beauty of life, how amazing it is just to be alive - and also, that he had to become even stronger to realize his true potential. Losing Riko in the process made Geto see the dark side of humanity and how terrible it can be. I don't think Gojo suddenly started appreciating normal humans but he also finds battling cursed spirits to be exhilarating and the best way to use what he was given. Geto...lost any concern he had for normal humans ("monkeys" as Toji called them and himself). Humans are now the main problem, in Geto's worldview, and he'll do whatever is necessary to stop jujutsu sorcerers from dying and witnessing death over and over to merely maintain the status quo. It's not a sane theory, to get scientific - evolution can't force humans to spontaneously produce a new physical feature (which sorcerer ability seems to be in this world). Mutated land creatures born with vestigial wings that allowed them to survive longer so the mutation was passed on to the next gen - that's evolution. It's not like...the land was dangerous so pre-birds made themselves grow wings. Heck, Geto's parents seem to have been normal humans (so he killed them), yet they produced an incredibly strong sorcerer. Killing off all normal humans until the ones left suddenly are able to use jujutsu sorcery (without breeding in the ability) just won't work and it's got nothing to do with the impossibility of actually killing every single non-sorcerer in the world and also any child who doesn't show they have the ability by the age of six or so. Anyway, if you have the time, this is a good point to watch the movie again. And maybe also the last couple of episodes from the first season. The Bad Guys have a plan that involves somehow sealing Gojo away in time for some event they're going to do on Halloween in Shibuya.
