Yo, i never knew about the 'throne of kings', so i read up on the lore. it's so fasinating as i do know that Ainz/Momonga was the Stragetic leader when defending the Guild back in the game. So the protection from scrying and seeing allies status/conditions really helps us understand how The guild never was defeated. but the lore says they got rewarded the throne of kings from clearing narazick dungeon in 1 attempt, so i guess that's how they claimed the dungeon into a guild base. (i do know they added more floors and stuff.) but i thought Gargantuan the "floor gaurdian/item" was rewarded to them by the game admins for clearing nazarick in 1 attempt. or was it that they were the first to ever clear it. (i cant recall.)

On the topic of players in this world: We actually don't really know how they were transported to this world. There is an interesting theory: The Dragon Emperor, who was the most powerful entity in this world wanted to get more, so he used his magic to conjure powerful items (world items) from another world (Yggdrasil). Those items now appear in the new world every couple hundreds of years apart, and with them the players, who wear those. This theory is based on the idea of everything, that is connected to a world item being transported with it together. This would explain the whole Tomb of Nazarick being move, since it is basically attached to a world item (throne of kings). There are some clues about, which characters were players. For example: The six great gods introduced a rubix cube. This is touched on in Season 2 episode 1, where this one god-kin is trying to solve the rubix cube.

Shalltear adds a new class to her data sheet, Blender. Demiurge was not dealing with the Theocracy, that is a mistake in subtitles, Demiurge is dealing with the Holy Kingdom (not yet introduced to you guys). The Holy Kingdom arc is the movie coming out next year and was the next two LN novels right after this point, By skipping those two books the anime picks up ~ 2 years later in the following novels and episodes 8-13 will deal with those events. Just think being a near-sighted overweight dragon could save your life by triggering the avarice of collector Ains. Edit: there is a "spinoff" the the Pleides OVAs a three parter dealing with Clementine after her fight with Ains, seems her body was taken and she was resurrected. the three parter deals with her on the run and bumping into the other battle maids.

so much details from the light novels get skipped sadly, theres just so much details that they cant really fit it all in for this without really slowing down the seasons. As for luck, in LN, when Ainz was talking to pandoras actor awhile back, luck was actually discussed and Pandoras actor was highlighting to Ainz how lucky Ainz is, having Ainz toss a coin 10 times and call it, Ainz called it 9 out of 10 times. In the LN they also share character sheet information, Ainz character has crazy high luck so clearly stats influence things like that, Ainz also has an insane amount of intellect so theres theories on how much that stat may actually effect him. Also that "fog" u seen Aura use was one of the world items, again details really only in the LN, its Depiction of Nature and Society, which creates an isolated space thats extreamly difficult to escape (near impossible) so the quagoa couldnt escape even if they tried.

With the two movies that overlord currently has they just add 2 scenes to season 1 but other than that they are recap. There is a movie coming out next year that will take place right after this episode and before ep 8 but it's a great self contained arc, so it makes sense they wanted to put maximum effort into it and seperate it. Ple ple pleides is fun but also not really lore heavy just all comedy. Good for a your own time watch.

Ii love how in the eyes of the floor guardians Ainz can do no wrong. He could say "The sky is purple!", and the floor gaurdians will find a way to make him look like a genius.

TheBigOhm

I’d recommend reading the first part of the novels. The anime is great but it completely skipped the description of the world Ainz left. Think post nuclear war, he’s never seen the sky, it’s just crappy - that helps explain why he has such and idealistic goal for the new world.

Richard Diaz

They don’t really have anything to add. Entertaining, but not necessary.
