2023-07-30 13:03:57 +0000 UTCYeah despite Gazef being passed out during the village attack after Ainz saved him, he fought hard against the slane theocracy. As the nobles said Gazef is seen as being worth 1,000 soldiers in terms of battle strength. For him to be so easily beat (albeit without his treasured weapons and armor you will see soon) and for him to wake up and all those powerful mages and angels having been defeated shows how strong Ainz is to him. Especially for him to return without so much as a scratch. The angel that was behind the leader was also meant to be quite a few leagues more powerful than the basic ones that took down Gazef. So that being defeated as well was a good indicator for him to judge Ainz. Though he is still way underestimating his true power as he can’t fathom just how big the gap is.

Gazef wa pssed out then Ains took out the Slane Theocracy magic casters, but he probably got details from the villagers when he came to afterwards. Death flags flying everywhere. Remember who is defending certain people in Carne village,
