It's a very interesting premise. Makes you wonder just how many adventurers end up missing or dead from their very first job. It also helps you appreciate those higher ranked guys and just how much shit they had to wade through to get where they are.

After you finish Overlord there is an anime called Goblin Slayer I think you'd both really enjoy. However be advised the first episode is extremely graphic for reasons but it's the only time it's shown in the season as graphically as it was in the first episode

Momon would not have had any known interactions with Demiurge so that's why he has to ask who is my foe, he's never "met" either one of them. Makes you want to binge the next episode, right?
