Most of my students were never as interested in music as you were, but I already imagined that it wasn't just for music. Your favorite instrument was the flute, and even though you had already learned enough to learn another instrument, you would make mistakes on purpose in front of all the men on that panel who would grade you.
When you arrived, I told you what a good student you were, your skills. But after the second and third time... I was too embarrassed to say anything about you.
My reputation was laughable.
Would it be the fourth time that you failed? And would I be the teacher who you have nothing to show? No. Since I'm a teacher, I should already know. It's not enough to just have knowledge, to make you absorb and show others how impressive you are - And of course, that I am too - I have to apply a new method.
I have to play your game. Play the flute like I've never played before you or anyone else.
