A new battle system.

As I write more for the Spider path, I've contemplated more and more on altering the battle system.
Currently, success against an opponent hinges on possessing a specific trait. However, as more traits are introduced in the future, this approach may become impractical. Henceforth, battles will transition to stat checks instead of trait checks. Traits will now function as multipliers for specific stats. For instance, the claw trait might contribute to a 10% increase in offensive stats, scales traits for defensive stats, etc.
I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter, as I'm open to any ideas.

I second this, especially the Horns part. And I would like this kind of battle systems since I was wondering when our stats from our past life would start coming into play.

2024-01-04 12:48:31 +0000 UTCSeems reasonable to me. While it would be cool to have individual traits taken into consideration it does seem way too impractical in the long run. Maybe have some specific traits play a role in combat scene variation? For example, what's the point of having horns if we can't impale people with them? :D
