Hello everyone.
I’ve been steadily chipping away at the coding for the upcoming update, tackling bugs as I find them. Progress is going well! As for a release date, it should be out this month, with the latest possible launch being the first week of March (like the 1st or the 2nd).
As usual, thank you so much for your patience and for the amazing ideas you shared in the previous post. I can’t stress this enough—your suggestions aren’t just heard and considered; they’re playing an instrumental role in shaping this game’s development.
Please don’t hold back if you have any ideas you’d like to share. And as always, thank you for your continued support—you’re all amazing!

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a wonderful day!
I’ve finally finished writing the southeast section, bringing it to around 7–10k words. This part was particularly interesting to work on—not just in terms of mapping out the cave’s layout, but also in ensuring that this section feels engaging and worthwhile to explore. Now, all that’s left is refinement and adding those finer details.
Next, I’ll be focusing on the prologue, which I’ve always felt needed improvement. When I originally wrote it, I had to rush through due to real-life circumstances, and upon further rereads, I realized that this has compromised the depth of the characters introduced in the opening. As such i strongly feel that expanding the prologue is a necessary step before progressing with the rest of the story.
I’d love to hear any ideas or feedback you might have regarding the prologue—it would be hugely appreciated!
And as always, thank you so much for your continued support!

Hello everyone, I hope you’re having a fantastic day.
Lately, I’ve been focusing exclusively on the southeast section of the cave—the second route you encounter early on as a weak hatchling. I’ve been crafting some intriguing lore and ideas to incorporate into that tunnel, and I’m excited to share it with you. Hopefully, you’ll enjoy what’s in store!
As many of you already know by now, Dashingdon will officially shut down in a few days. Because of this, I’ve moved both the public and Patreon demos to Cogdemo. The Patreon demo is set to private, meaning it’s only accessible here. I kindly ask that you refrain from sharing the Patreon demo elsewhere.
This updated Patreon demo includes numerous bug fixes and grammar corrections, though no new content has been added yet.
As always, thank you so much for your incredible support. It means the world to me!

From Modern Comforts to Alien Realities
Imagine being torn from the conveniences of modern life and thrust into an alien yet undeniably real world. How would an ordinary human, in an unfamiliar body, react and adapt to such a jarring situation?
When I first envisioned this story, I wanted to create a world that had it all—dinosaurs roaming ancient forests, dragons and wyvrns soaring the skies, humanoids of all shapes and feathers, and even the familiar tropes of elves, orcs, and even the halflings and gnomes. But variety alone isn’t enough. A world must feel lived in. It needs depth.
And so i aim to weave a world of cultures, intrigue, and politics—stories of ancient conflicts and the fragile missions to achieve peace, as well as the bitter failures to sustain it. Heroes will rise and fall, often succumbing to a vicious cycle, unable to face the singular truth that all living beings thirst for change. Because for some, peace can become synonymous with stagnation.
I want to explore factions born from the desire to usurp and conquer, and the splintering sub-factions that emerge from those. Some would bend their will for the promise of safety, while others refuse to compromise, to fight for the promise of freedom.
And then, there’s you—an unknown variable from an unknown place, suddenly thrust into this boiling cauldron, ready to erupt like a massive volcano.
These are the elements I believe will breathe life into the world and the characters you encounter. As they will shape your motivations as you struggle to survive and uncover the truth behind your arrival.
Welcome to Eldrakar
You find yourself in Eldrakar, one of five major continents. Some call it the Old World, others the Gates to Hell. It’s a land where everything grows to towering heights—trees that scrape the skies, predators that dwarf the imagination. Poisonous insects and rampant diseases threaten your life with nothing more than a scratch, and yet, this is also a land of extremes. Here, the poorest can rise to become richer than kings, and the weakest can gain strength to shake the very foundations of the earth.
Eldrakar is a land of gold and ruins, the remnants of civilizations long past. Its treasures have drawn the eyes of the world, all vying for a piece of its glory. And now, you stand in the middle of it—a stranger, unprepared and unknown.
How will you fare in this untamed continent? Will you soar upon wings of fire, carving your name among the legends? Will you try to carve up your place at the apex of power, bending the world to your will? Are you willing to sacrifice everything—your comfort, your identity, even your very humanity—to reclaim what was stolen from you?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These are the questions I hope you’ll find answers to as I continue to develop this story, pushing it toward its fullest potential. I’m confident this vision will come to life because I know I’m not alone in wanting to see it realized.
This community has shown incredible support over the past year, and for that, I am endlessly grateful, and the best way I can think of to truly express my thanks is by making this project the very best it can be.
Once again, thank you for your amazing support. I hope you’ll stick with me as we journey together to the apex of the food chain—a journey that’s only just beginning.

Hello everyone, hope you are having an enjoyable day.
So for the upcoming update, I decided to scrub through the visuals we have for our species and try to revamp them a bit, and a huge thank you to Xero/Zarkrai for generating these images.
Disclaimer, These images are AI, and if possible, they will be replaced by human art in the official release. I will also include an option to disable or enable all AI art included in the WIP.
For now I appreciate any feedback or thoughts about these new images, and thank you so much for your continued support.

Hello everyone.
A quick hotfix that adds the rodent fight to the skink fight and adds +7k words. I also included the option to skip directly towards the new content (this will become a feature for every future update)
Do enjoy the fight with our little hairy rodent, and if you have any feedback, feel free to share, and thank you.

Hello everyone,
I hope the past few days have treated you wonderfully!
With the Skink Path update now completed, my next priority is delivering a critical hotfix to reintroduce the rodent fight simulation into the game. For some reason, the game hasn’t been able to read its code properly, so I’ll be rewriting it. This fix shouldn’t take long, and I’ll also be adding a feature to allow players to skip directly to newer content moving forward—a much-needed quality-of-life improvement.
Looking ahead to 2025, you can expect a lot of updates for this game. Since i’ve cleared my schedule to dedicate more time to writing.
As always, your feedback is invaluable. This game keeps evolving thanks to your support and insights, so please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts, and thank you for being part of this journey!

Hello everyone, hope you are doing well.
So the past few months have been rather hectic for me, to the point of overwhelming, but like all aspiring authors do, we power through, and I can proudly say I have finished writing for the next update.
It's going to cover the entire skink path, adding around 30k words+, and this update will also try to fix every typo, grammatical issue, and bug along the way.
There are two vital things I need to take care of after this update.
1. An overhaul for the prologue: add the southward section at the beginning of the cave, add a fight scene when you first encounter the crawler, and expand your fight with Garth, not to mention a healthy sprinkle of narrative improvement all around.
2. I will then dedicate my full attention to the spider path; for i really want it to feel like a unique experience separate from our lizard gang, and i believe i can achieve that with your support and always fantastic feedback.
For now the Skink update will drop on the 23'rd with full certainty, and I can't wait for you guys to try it out; I had a lot of fun writing its fight scenes.
Thank you for reading this and for your patience, and may you have an amazing week ahead.

Hello everyone, I hope you've all been doing well.
I’ll keep this brief—I've been on a short break from writing these past few weeks to deal with some pressing personal matters that demanded my full attention. Unfortunately, during that time, I simply couldn't find the headspace nor the time to continue writing. However, now that everything has been resolved, I finally have the time and clarity to dive back into my work.
This pause had some grace to it, because it also allowed me to step back and reflect on my project in a way I hadn't before, helping me realize what needs to be done to make it truly work. One thing is certain, my passion for creating the best monster IF game has only grown stronger, thanks in no small part to the immense support all of you have shown me over the past year. From the bottom of my heart, thank you and i’ll do my best not to disappoint.
Writing resumes tomorrow, and let me just say—the next update is going to be so juicy, I’m practically salivating at the thought of it. Stay tuned!

Hello everyone! I hope you've had a fantastic day.
I'm here today to emphasize how essential player input is to the game's development. Your feedback is crucial in helping me unlock the full potential of this project, and I'm eager to hear your thoughts.
Specifically, I'd love to know how you'd like the spider path to differ from the salamander path. Beyond traits and perks, what aspects do you think should stand out? How can we make this path more immersive when it launches in the next update? What kind of species-to-species evolution are you hoping to see?...etc.
I'm open to all of your ideas, so feel free to share them with me in this post or through the appropriate channels on Discord.

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing great this weekend. Now that the big update has finally dropped, I hope you're finding it fun and relatively bug-free! And if you run into any issues or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to share them here or in the dedicated Discord channels.
Now, I’m sure many of you are wondering what the future of this game holds, and honestly, I ask myself the same thing every day—and that’s not a bad thing! Because from the very start, when I first wrote the prologue, I knew this would be an ever-evolving game. For example, I hadn't originally planned to develop a hard mode for the combat simulations—it was a spur-of-the-moment decision! But I hope you guys enjoyed it.
Now an evolving game thrives on the input of its players, and with your help, I believe we can unlock its full potential sooner rather than later. For that, I truly appreciate every single one of you.
As for what’s next, here’s a rough roadmap for the coming months:
Part 2 of the update: Adding the Skink and Spider paths.
Major overhaul update: This will involve expanding the prologue and revising some of the content up to the species evolution stages. Expect new options and a fully completed southern section that you encounter early on.
Story continuation update: You’ll finally wake up in your new form, ready to face not only the system’s sometimes absurd but rewarding quests but also the challenges of a hazardous world. I have big plans for the continent you’ll find yourself on—from engaging factions and epic boss fights to occasional slice-of-life moments where you can catch your breath, groom your scales, or hunt for precious biomass, etc.
I know what you’re thinking—this sounds way too ambitious. And while I agree, I believe ambition should never hold us back from delivering our best. Especially when having the support of such a fantastic community, then im sure we can achieve it.
For the immediate now, you can expect a Q&A this week, along with a poll to help finalize the potential evolution paths for the Spider route.
So once again, thank you all for playing my game and supporting me on Patreon. I wish you all an amazing week ahead!

Hello everyone, the update is finally here!
This is the first of a two-part update. With this update, you’ll be able to continue the Greater Salamander evolution. The Skink and Spider paths will follow soon after I’ve gathered your valuable feedback on this update and made some improvements on it.
I’ve also decided to make the update available to all tiers at once, as I know everyone waited long enough for it. Standard early access will resume with the next update. For now, I hope you enjoy this release—and there’s much more planned ahead!

Hello everyone, hope you're having an amazing day so far.
I'll get straight to the point: the update is 100% dropping this month—no more delays. The progress I've made over the past week has been phenomenal, i've literally clocked in 2-3k words written per day lol. This update will advance the story after your major evolution and introduce the new Spidey path. I really hope you enjoy what I've been working on. You can also expect this update to be 40k+ words.
After this update, I plan to maintain a monthly schedule of at least 10-20k words. Additionally, I want to advance the Patreon demo ahead of the public release. This serves as a form of playtesting the content before its public release and as a token of appreciation to my amazing patrons.
Thank you all for being so incredible and for helping not only make this update possible but also for enabling the vision for this game to expand to heights I never thought possible. Have a wonderful day, and see you very soon with some sneak peeks.

Hello everyone, I hope your day is going great so far. I want to start by offering my deepest apologies to my Patreon supporters. I have neglected this page and failed to meet expectations, and for that, I am truly sorry. But no more. Progress updates, sneak peeks, early access, and exclusive content are all back. You can also expect Patreon demos to be 10-20k words ahead of the public demo in the future. Your immense support will not go unrecognized.
I also plan to make the fourth starting class exclusive to my Patreon supporters until I release the entire game to the public.
Now, regarding the current state of the game: I won't lie, I'm writing so many variations for the combat simulation that someone might call me insane. There are four possible main actions for each base evolution (Skink and Salamander), further split into success or failure based on stat checks. This is taking time to get right, but I'm confident it won't be long before the biggest update I've ever made is launched. Patreon supporters will get it 15 days earlier as another form of apology.
To finish, I want to once again sincerely thank you for your constant support. You are truly making a massive difference in keeping this game going, hope your week goes on to be an amazing one.

Greetings everyone,
I trust your day has been pleasant thus far. Firstly, I must extend my sincere apologies for the prolonged silence throughout March. My life has been tumultuous, and I bear partial responsibility for failing to establish a cohesive schedule that adequately balances my real-life obligations with those pertaining to this project and our community. These delays have been compounded by the realization that the more I delve into this project, the more I uncover its vast scope and potential, prompting a need for a solid foundation to avoid writing myself into a corner.
So, what is the solution? Firstly, I am striving to strike a reasonable balance between my real-life commitments and this project to ensure tangible progress. Secondly, I have taken the initiative to utilize Articy, a software designed to assist authors in organizing and planning their projects. Rest assured, this project will never be abandoned. I am fully committed to seeing it through to completion, thanks in no small part to your incredible and unwavering support. Your patience has been truly remarkable, and I am determined to deliver on your expectations. Thank you.

Hello everyone, I'm happy to announce that I regained access to my workstation today, and it's fully operational!
Work will resume tomorrow. I've also been feeling a bit confined working extensively on the cave section, aiming to enhance and expand it. So the next stage involves progressing the story much further, so expect some battles and some hard decisions to make.
On another note, while revising my character sheets, particularly Lobo's, I found his current name to be... unsatisfactory. Therefore, I've decided to give him a new name. I'm not sure how you all will feel about it, especially since you haven't encountered him yet. Nonetheless, I'm always open to your opinions and valuable insights.

Greetings, everyone. I trust your day has been going smoothly.
Unfortunately, my work station is still out of commission. A technician took a look, and it turns out one of my RAM sticks decided to call it quits. I plan to get a replacement tomorrow and swiftly have it installed to resume work.
Without my workstation, progress has momentarily come to a halt, but rest assured, I have full confidence in compensating for the lost time and hopefully delivering something new next month.
I understand this might be frustrating for you, as it is for me. However, your tremendous support is genuinely appreciated. It's the primary reason I might be able to fix my computer this quickly and get back to work. So, a heartfelt thank you to all of you; you're truly awesome.

Greetings, everyone! I trust your day has been fantastic. As for mine, well, not so fortunate.
Cutting to the chase, my computer inexplicably decided to call it quits just as I was coding the latest game update. The silver lining? None of the progress made was lost, thanks to my diligent backup habits lol. So, consider this a minor hiccup. I'll be swift in fixing the computer and returning to my duties.
On that note, progress has been made in the main story. Players can now move beyond their major evolution, and let me tell you, there's quite a surprise awaiting them when they wake up.
For now, all I can reveal is that the update is slated for a late February to early March release, and anticipate it to be a substantial one. Thank you for your continued support, and I wish you all a pleasant day.

So you gave me your wonderful trait ideas, which, mind you were utterly spot on for what i wanted to include in the game, so here is round 2, this time for perks. Shoot me whatever idea you have in mind, here or in discord, and ill compile them all into a list like i did with the traits. Remember there is a high chance your perk idea might be included in the game, so please don't hold back lol.

I've made significant strides in the story this past week and am optimistic about concluding the spider path within the coming week. Following that, the focus will be on advancing the storyline and possibly expanding the prologue a bit.
I hope you enjoyed the recent short story I shared not too long ago, much much more lore is ready for you to explore (i have so many ideas lol). So thank you sincerely for your continued support, you are truly making this possible.

"Why did she do it?"
The tautness of the ropes etches a reddened itch on her bound wrists and ankles.
"How far the mighty have fallen!"
A black cloth binds her eyes, shrouding everything in darkness.
"I heard they caught the wrong person; the actual leader is still on the loose."
The wretched smell assaults her bruised nose, causing it to twitch slightly.
"I knew it, I just knew that harlot would finally get caught."
The cacophony deafens her ears as their cries reach the skies.
"The empire has gone to hell if they let someone like that live."
Her knees ache from kneeling on rough stone, the weight of her feeble body threatening to break her pale skin open.
"Betrayer! Liar! Murderer!"
Her throat runs dry as the sun's scorching rays bear down heavily on the open yard.
"Kill her!"
Her body twitches uncontrollably, legs numbing by the second.
"Hang her!"
"Silence! Silence by the authority of the emperor!" A baretone, authoritative voice sliced through the din, as voices start to gradually quiet one by one. Their hungry eyes lay still on the two figures—one thin and scrawny, standing beside a kneeling woman. Her eyes are bound by a black cloth, her legs and wrists tied behind her back, both shrouded by six guards armed to the teeth.
"Ugh!" My canvas falls over as a staunching man pushes me forward, his sweat falling from his forehead, breath coming in gasps as he looks with eyes filled with unbounded rage at the kneeling woman. I slowly bend as I pick it up, a half-done sketch of the kneeling bound woman half drawn lay there, her slumped shoulders ever so weak.
Cough! Cough!
My eyes quickly follow the sound as the thin man adjusts his necktie, his pale complexion telling of his noble lineage. He gives the hungry mob a gloss over before he starts speaking.
"Citizens," the man began, his voice tight with restrained emotion, "witness today the dispensation of justice, divine and final." He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in. "As you know, our brave army dealt a crippling blow to the rebel scum, capturing their... devil!" He spat the final word onto the ground, igniting a fresh roar from the crowd.
"Kill her!"
"Long live the emperor! Long live the emperor!"
"Serves her right!"
I find myself getting pushed ever so forward; the reeking smell of sweat and grime chokes the air as I try to hold onto my stuff. The woman remained stoic, a solitary island in the tempest of hatred. The armed guards, silent sentinels, held their spears high, reflecting the sun's glare like a wall of cold light.
The thin man lips pressed together in a slight grimace, his dark eyes falling over the kneeling woman, before his head picks up again.
"Silence!" This time it only took a word before the crowd fully quieted down. The man continues, his pitch now carries a hesitant tone to it.
"This woman, my dear citizens, Cecilia Qwasalires, led the damned rebels for 4 years, ravaging your farmlands! Burning your houses!" The mob wails and cries with each sentence, as the man's fervor echoes through. "Killing your children!"
Ugh.
The portly man who pushed me earlier snarls, veins popping in his forehead, his eyes almost painted blood from rage, as slow tears fall from his eyes, his gaze never leaving the woman.
"But no more!" The man draws a heavy breath, as his skinny hand slowly falls on a sheath strapped to his wrist. "Today justice shall be handed, today retribution shall see blood on my holy sword."
Shing!
He drew a heavy sword, the metal singing its deadly song as he unsheathed it. The crowd held its breath, anticipation crackling in the air.
"Today, by the name of the Emperor of the holy cantour," The shining sword slowly draws to a stop above the kneeling woman's neck, before stopping mere inches away. "I shall execute the former princess, Cecilia Qwasalires."
"Any last words, princess?" The man says, his voice quivering ever so slightly. The woman didn't react, as if a sword that could cut her head like it was butter didn't stand above, as if a feral crowd that would rip her apart and drink her blood didn't surround, as if she was all alone.
Just as I was thinking the silence will never end, her previously slumped shoulders rose up, as her head slowly lifting up, the man's sword gently followed her movement upwards, as the sword wavered in his grip. As she looks up to the sky, the black cloth still binding her eyes, the dirt on her face, the dried patches of blood, and still her delicate features almost like a doll appear beneath.
She draws a deep breath before her cracked ruby lips open up.
"...You did good." Barely a whisper i doubt anyone could hear it over this, and yet i did.
The man slowly held his sword high right above his shoulder, as his face flickers for a second, his posture stoops, and his eyes grow dull. If I didn't know better, and I should've known better, as if a shadow of unfathomable sadness has possessed the man, as he takes a hesitant step back, before his hand tightens on his sword handle once again, His arm whipped forward, the sword descending with the speed of a viper.
Thud.
Her head dropped to the cobblestone, as blood poured slowly from the stump, her body losing all its strength slowly fell forward. The man stood still, his face obscured from me as he slowly sheathes his now bloodied sword, his bony hand slowly lifts up, as three fingers swipe through the air, tracing the beheaded woman's body as it starts to light up in fire, and like thunder crackling the crowd goes into an uproar.
"Hahaha finally! Finally, we can have peace!"
"The devil is gone, it's gone!"
The man beside me started to moan, as he knelt on his knees with a painful thud, tears start falling from his reddened eyes as he hugs a makeshift necklace.
My gaze travels toward the thin man who carried out this justice, his figure so alone despite the heavy noise, so slumped and weak, despite him just single-handedly killing the leader of a massive rebellion. As he slowly lifts his head up, his dark eyes fall onto mine, and I find rage behind them, an uncontrollable wrath, but most prominently an unfathomable pool of sadness, but why?.
"Grandfather?" A young voice pulls me from my stupor, as I grasp for air, a paper falls from clenched hands.
The child in front of me quickly picks it up, as her confused eyes go over its content, before they light up. "This is Cecilia!" Her cheery voice can't help but slowly pull my lips into a smile, as she starts to jump excitedly. "By the saints! did you meet her? did you know her?"
My body creaks as I pull myself up from my chair, and I gently pet her head; she smiles brightly at me as she hands me the drawing, her eyes full of questions. "No, I haven't met her; I've just seen her from afar," My hands stash away the drawing in a book, with practice ease.
"Oh okay, by the way, an old man has come to see you; he's by the door, he called himself Albam" The child quickly chirps. "Albaz?" My voice comes hurriedly, as my heavy legs start fidgeting, as she confusedly nods.
"Be a good girl and invite the man to the guest house; tell him I'll see him in a minute." The child sweetly smiles, and and hurriedly leaves the room, as the silence reigns over me once more, leaving me defenseless to my thoughts.
The empire has fallen exactly three years after her execution, hasn't it? A massive coup led by the same man who killed her, as he beheaded the emperor and established the democracy as it currently is.
I weakly pick up a warm coat and my sturdy cane, as my gaze unconsciously travels to the paper I slipped into the book, one of its corners still showing. That man ousted himself as the true leader of the rebellion one year into the new regime and naming his deceased wife a hero of the republic.
A chuckle slips out of me as I shake my head and leave the room. Just when you think you finally had a grasp over fate, it suddenly pulls the rug right under your feet. The same people who condemned her, the same people who watched her burn, the same...now call her a hero.
I pulled into a stop as i draw a cold breath, i wonder if it was worth it. The answer, like the woman's last words, remains lost in the wind, as i start walking again, the eyes of that man never leaving my mind.

Greetings everyone! How's your day going? The weather has been absolutely fantastic for me today, finally dispelling the monthly gloom that usually accompanies this short-lived winter.
January has raced past me like a freight train, and it's already on the brink of ending. If I were to sum up this month's progress in just one word, it would be "unsatisfactory." This month has kept my hands quite tied with irl affairs, hindering the substantial progress I typically achieved in the previous months.
However, fret not, as February is set to be different. My schedule has cleared up, and you can anticipate not only an impressive word count being accumulated weekly but also frequent lore drops. In fact, I'm aiming to release the first lore dump sometime this week, hopefully.
Wishing you all an amazing February, and a heartfelt thank you for your continued support!

Greetings, everyone! I hope you're enjoying a pleasant day.
Yesterday, while scrolling the forum, I came across a post suggesting that an excessive inclusion of art in choice games could potentially diminish the reader's imagination and hinder immersion.
Currently, I've incorporated four AI-generated artworks in the game to represent the various species present. So i'm curious to know your thoughts on this matter. Do you believe this approach is detrimental to your immersion, or does it enhance the overall experience? Please share your thoughts or cast your vote; your insights and ideas are always appreciated.

Greetings, everyone! The super system has made an appearance in my dreams, seeking an identity, and it declared that the first step is to give it a name. Hence, I've turned to you for assistance.
On a serious note, the MC will have the ability to customize the system further as they progress through the game. The initial step in this customization journey is naming, so please feel free to share any names you'd like to be implemented as default names.
Additionally, I have a quick question: Should we also assign pronouns to the system, or would that be too human-like? Please share your thoughts in the comments.

Greetings, everyone! I trust your day has been enjoyable thus far.
The past week, although filled with the usual busyness of real-life commitments, has seen a slight increase in my word count by approximately 3,000 words. I've also been devoting considerable time to contemplating the battle system, and as you've seen from the recent "give me your traits" post, aiming to compile and incorporate a more diverse range of traits into the game.
I sincerely appreciate your ongoing support. Wishing you all a fantastic week ahead!

So I'm currently trying to compile a traits list (the perk list will come after this), and I thought to myself, what better way to get amazing ideas than from my community? So please shoot me any interesting ideas you might have about a trait you thought of, and who knows, it might get included in the game.

Hello everyone, hope you are having an enjoyable day so far.
Aside from trying to formulate a coherent battle system, the past week has been really hectic. I've been really busy, with school, trying to get my driver's license, and with the new year turning up, what can I say other than I didn't progress as much as I wanted to with the story.
Hopefully this week will prove differently, not to mention I'm planning to drop the first detailed character sheet for Flick this week, so not all is lost lol.
Thank you so, so much for your support, you really make a difference, and I hope you will be having an amazing week up ahead.

Hello everyone, hope you are having a great day so far.
As I write more for the Spider path, I've contemplated more and more on altering the battle system.
Currently, success against an opponent hinges on possessing a specific trait. However, as more traits are introduced in the future, this approach may become impractical. Henceforth, battles will transition to stat checks instead of trait checks. Traits will now function as multipliers for specific stats. For instance, the claw trait might contribute to a 10% increase in offensive stats, scales traits for defensive stats, etc.
I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter, as I'm open to any ideas.
