i remember clicking on this episode when i was maybe 14 and thinking the creatures would be like waterbenders, earthbenders, etc. just some avatar the last airbender type of stuff. got sorely disappointed and very creeped out on what they actually were: humans. just some humans eatin’ humans

I swear their teeth gross me out so much. More than anything else in the episode weirdly enough. I wonder how gross the stuff the makeup people put on their teeth tastes. Ugh. Heebie jeebies. Honestly I'm not scared of much except mouth horror stuff and the dentist. People getting their mouths cut up and their teeth pulled or what have you freaks me right out. Ugh.
Eventually we see the actor who plays "Missy" come back as a different character, when the actress has grown up. Just shows you how long this series has gone that an actress can be on the show as a kid, and then back on the show as a teenager.
I can't wait for you to see more :) You're honestly the best reactor that I've watched do a Supernatural reaction :p
As always a great reaction,
Sending you happy thoughts <3

This is the first episode we've hit that even though it's not all that bad, it's 100% a skip for me. Doesn't really offer any insight on anything for the boys; a standard motw episode, but slightly below par I think. I do like the concept of the people being the monster though, it's a bit refreshing at least. The database showing the brothers as the same height is hilarious to me. Regarding their height actually, it's funny, Jensen has mentioned that when guest stars came on who had watched the show, they would comment on how they expected him to be shorter, when he's actually like 6'1. It's just that Jared is enormous.
I'm not sure how far ahead you usually are in terms of backlog vs posted, but it seems wild how close you are already to the end of the first season. Show might pass quicker than we think, eh. Excited for next episode for sure (I'm assuming you've seen it by now ofc). 🤙
On the actor front, one of the Bender brothers (Jared is his name on the wiki and IMDb, the subs in the ep call him Judd tho lol) was Jason in Freddy vs Jason from '03, which is pretty cool. He's also a stunt performer.

Ah and here we have the classic trope of "human are the worst monsters".
Technically we had that in the last episode too, but here it's plain ass humans, no special powers etc etc.
I think the boys name in episode 14 was actually Max. (I'm very sure, even though I'm already questioning my memory, but I'm coming right from watching the reaction to that and like I said I'm really sure.)
Jared Padalecki (Sam) is actually 6ft4.
Jensen Ackles (Dean) is 6ft0-6ft1, don't know exactly but that's what my search told me XD. As someone using the metric system I don't even know what that means out of the head.
I'm not the biggest fan of this episode. It has some good moments, but really not one of my faves as a total.
Hope you have a great day
Bex
PS: Still with the 12.

i like this ep, it stands out with it not being a monster of the week. humans can be bloody terrifying sometimes, oof.
i also liked having a female side character that wasn’t a mini love interest for sam or mostly dean lmao
