I just read an article/interview from the writer of this episode (Kim Shumway). In the interview, she stated that they were originally going to have Wells come back instead of Monty. But Eli Goree (Wells) wasn’t available and Chris Larkin (Monty) flew in from Europe to shoot on a Saturday. That was so sweet of him! Also, Eliza (Clarke) was really sick when shooting this episode kudos to her for getting the job done!

This episode made me extremely sad, happy, and nostalgic. Getting to see Jake again because he's always a part of Clarke and will guide her even after death and in her head. The scene with Mindspace Bloodreina and her mentioning Bellamy. Clarke does care about him and he knows that which is why he forgives her like he always does and doesn't think she's a monster that'll abandon anyone. it makes me extremely sad to actually see inside Clarke's head and get to see the fact that after all she's been through that she would want to give up and stop fighting but at the same time, i understand with the people she's lost, the things she's had to do survive, people always looking to her to make the hard decisions but then gets the blame for it all anyway even though it's because of her that they are alive. I wouldn't blame her if she did decide that she's really had enough and ended it. Im so extremely happy to see Monty again, it makes my heart melt to see him in season 1 outfit. I love that it was Monty that was able to convince Clarke to fight and live, it was just so much more meaningful. Seeing them holding hands as friends and him saying he likes her drawings better is just so wholesome. Having Lexa come in and be the one to do that would just dampen and make that moment less meaningful because Monty has known Clarke much longer than Lexa ever did. It killed me to see the look on Bellamy's face when Josephine walked in because it still affects him to see this other person in Clarke's body but the fact that he was paying attention to Clarke's body still, makes him notice that she's tapping out morse code and I just love that. The bright smile that appears on his face when he finds out is just wholesome and heart melting and then the look of determination on his face as he says we're gonna get her back makes my soul soar.
