Hey everyone!

To wrap up the month of July, we have our last July reward post — a tiny sneak peek of a scene in Nathan's route from Emberfate!

(Warning: Spoilers and also not final version of the conversation which may or may not make it into the final script)

Nathan: You know... you really shouldn't be this nice to me.

You: Why? Do you not want me to be?

Nathan: No, of course it's not that. But it's just... I'm afraid I'm going to get used to this. And then when you finally get tired of me, I'm going to have trouble readjusting to not having you to lean on anymore.

You: Hey, I won't get tired of you. Promise.

Nathan: *sad chuckle* You... can't promise that. Everyone says that, but... things change, people change and feelings change.

Nathan: But I guess the fact that you're promising that now means that's how you feel right now, at the very least. And regardless of what happens in the future... I'm really grateful. You're a great person.

Nathan: Just... let me know if I ever get too needy and annoying, okay? I know I can be a bit much sometimes, and nobody likes having a constant raincloud around.

You: That's why I got my umbrella ready with me! Don't worry, you're fine.

Nathan: *chuckle* As long as you don't sue me for damaging your umbrella with my incessant downpour like nothing you've ever seen before.

Nathan: Damn it, you're making it really hard not to get more and more attached to you.

You: And is that such a bad thing?

Nathan: Yes, because at this rate, I won't be able to stop myself from falling for you. And trust me, that's not going to end well for either of us.
