The original plan is for this to be a voice or video call conversation, but uhhhh I have to speak to the VA to see if it's doable -- otherwise I'll have to amend it slightly and make it a text conversation instead :( You'll see why!
Also note that this is only an early draft so nowhere near final yet! It's uh a little difficult to portray the branching responses based on which dialogue choice you choose as the player, so in this snippet, I'll just show one branch, but there'll be multiple in the actual game!

Chris: Yeah, and then — *hic*
<Silence>
You: ...Chris? Was that a hiccup I just heard?
Chris: Absolutely *hic* not! <pause> I can hear you *hic* laughing to yourself, you know?
You: Sorry, but this is strangely cute to witness.
Chris: Gee, thanks, <playername> *hic*.
You: Need a little help? Want me to scare you?
Chris: Nothing scares me *hic*, but you can try.
You: I guess now's a good time as any to bring this up. I guess you haven't noticed, but you drunk texted me last night saying you've fallen for me.
<Silence>
You: Chris?
Chris: Shit, you scared the shit out of me. I immediately grabbed my phone and checked our text history. Damn it, that was not funny at all.
You: Except it worked! Look, your hiccups are gone now.
Chris: ...Huh, I guess they are.
You: So why did you check your phone? Do you think a drunk text confession was actually in the realm of possibility?
Chris: ...Absolutely not! I dunno what you're talking about.
Chris: Oh, look, my brother is calling for me. I have to go. I'll see you around.
