Script Snippet: [RS] Aldy's Route

If you recall, a while back, I made a post / poll stating that I have to change the monthly comic reward for the $10 tier to a monthly script snippet preview as the artist is no longer available for the work. So this is the very belated reward post for December to show off a tiny bit of the script!

Since Aldy's route beta is coming out for the Kickstarter backers of the relevant tier, let's start off with a snippet from Aldy's route~

Of course, you can expect a bit of spoilers, so read at your own risk! LOL

Aldrias: Raenelle, are you all right? We don't have to do this right now if you're not ready. It wouldn't hurt to leave it until tomorrow or a few days later.

Aldrias: Or if it'd be too painful for you, you can leave the journal with me, and I'll read through it. I'll be sure to let you and Sebastien know if I find any information.

I give a hard shake of my head, mentally cursing at myself to pull it together.

Raenelle: I'm fine. Let's not waste time. We need answers as soon as possible.

Aldrias: Raenelle.

His tone is unusually firm, almost stern. I look at him in surprise, my gaze colliding with his.

Aldrias: It's not a waste of time to take care of yourself.

I can see the concern in his eyes, as well as a gentleness that makes my heart skip a small beat.

Then he tears his eyes away and bites his lip as a flush rises to his cheeks.

Aldrias: ...I'm sorry. I — I'm just worried about you. I care about you a lot.

Aldrias: I guess I just want to say... I know you are strong and resilient, but you don't have to always be fine. A-at least, not around me.

I blink. It takes a moment for his words to sink in for both of us. Then his blush deepens, and he begins to stammer.

Aldrias: I — I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that... Y-you can ignore me.

Aldrias: I just — I know you and Mister Talisko have a complicated relationship, and if — if you want to talk about what happened, I'm here. I know I may not be able to help, but I can at least listen, and it's better than you bottling it up like you usually do...

A clearly flustered Aldrias continues to babble and wring his hands in nervousness, his face slowly starting to match the color of his hair. The corners of my lips turn up involuntarily, and the irregular beating of my heart becomes so loud in my ears that I fear he'd hear it.

Raenelle: Thanks, Aldy. I... care about you very much as well.
