2021-03-27 06:48:04 +0000 UTCYou missed the part where Damon doesn’t allow anyone to sit besides him in the bar that’s cause it’s Ric’s seat he doesn’t even allow Elena to sit there when he tells her I’m gonna just pretend that there is someone here cz the alternative is too dam depressing always gets me. It’s so so sad Ric’s death has broken him he doesn’t show it but it’s affected him alot :((( and that ending scene how did you manage to control yourself Jer you really held up quite well I just can’t watch that scene without tearing up it’s so sad. I love Damon’s little speech there and Ric listening to it and then when he says I miss you too buddy my Delaric heart just breaks into a million pieces :((( 💔

2021-03-27 02:34:59 +0000 UTCI like the touch of the blood sharing....It's a very very important point in the books, it's played as like a more 'sexual-sh' sort of moment here, in the books it's more like a strong connection every time someone drinks from a human it also has a very sensual allure to it as well but it's a big reason of how and why Elena and Damon fell for each other, is because he put all these walls up (and he didn't necessarily have a big redemption ark like the show) but while he drank her blood they had that bond which allowed her to see into his mind and find his inner more sensible and vulnerable personality ...They deviated heavily from the books from the start anyhow but i still appreciate the touch like I said

Damon’s face changes in that scene. I know it’s a vampire thing, but I believe even if your lover is human the blood share is still really intimate. More than sex maybe.
